Our visit Wrocław travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide, top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting castles, churches and museums. We also cover off-the-beaten-path outdoor activities you won't find in a typical Wrocław tourism brochure, Wroclaw itinerary or Wrocław, Poland city tour.
10 Things to do in Wrocław, Poland Travel Guide
In today’s video we’re taking you around Wroclaw. This was the second stop of our month-long trip through Poland, and we liked it right from Day 1. Our visit to the city was spent wandering through the University Quarter, cruising down the Oder River, stumbling into a secret courtyard, and enjoying a tasty meal or two along the way. The following is our travel guide to some of the best things to do in Wroclaw, Poland:
The University Quarter is located in the north end of the Old Town and it’s worth visiting even if your days as a student are over. Here you’ll find the University of Wroclaw, which is one of the oldest academic institutions in Central Europe. The architecture is also stunning! I mean, could you imagine being a student here?
Since we couldn’t visit the interior of the university, we stopped by the university church, also known as the Parish of the Most Holy Name of Jesus. Admission is free of charge, though donations are welcome, and once you’re in, don’t forget to look up!
Continuing our random wanderings through Wroclaw, we reached the Ossolineum, which quickly piqued our curiosity. Once a hospital and convent, and later a college, today it houses one of the largest scientific libraries in Poland as well as the national archive. We visited the courtyard surrounded by mirrored windows and hydrangeas, and if felt like a secret garden.
Cathedral island is the oldest part of Wroclaw. It was formerly an island that sat between two branches of the Oder River, and while that’s no longer the case, it still has a cathedral.
With much better weather, we then followed the previous day’s path back to Cathedral Island. Along the way, we visited the Silver Arch, which is a pretty cool sculpture on one of the smaller islands, and then it was time for a river cruise.
Our next stop was Hala Targowa, or Market Hall. It’s a nice spot to hit up to get your daily supply of fresh fruits, deli meats, cheese and pastries, for a delicious yet affordable do-it-yourself meal.
And that’s a wrap for our visit to Wroclaw! As always, if you have any places to add to this list or any tips for fellow travellers share those below. Until next time and happy travels!

Amazing Day In Wrocław, Poland! (Travel Guide)
We spent the day exploring Wrocław, a city in Poland with a notoriously difficult name to pronounce! Despite the tricky name, we had a great day and loved the colorful city center. We went kayaking on the Oder River, explored Market Square, ate at a Milk Bar, then took in all the sights on Cathedral Island.
At the end of our day, we ended up being forced back into our Airbnb by gross weather. BUT not before we managed to get our hands on a delicious slice of Oreo Cake. Overall, it was a great day :)

Spend a day in Wrocław. Our last day in Poland.
If you're looking for things to do in Wroclaw, Poland this is the video for you. We start our day at the University of Wroclaw to climb the mathematical tower and see the fantastic view of the city. Later we explore the Old Town and Market Square and have lunch at Vinyl Cafe. We later have beers at Kontynuacja, and lastly have dinner at our hotel, The Art Hotel restaurant.
Book our Hotel:
Places featured in the video:
University of Wroclaw:
The University of Wrocław is a public research university located in Wrocław, Poland. The University of Wrocław was founded in 1945, replacing the previous German University of Breslau.
The Maths Tower
The Maths Tower is located in the main building of the University of Wrocław. Its rooms currently serve as exposition halls of the Museum of the University of Wrocław, and the terrace may be used to admire the beautiful city panorama. The relatively low level of the terrace (ca. 42 m) allows for an easy identification of all visible objects, which include church towers and contemporary skyscrapers. The entrance tickets are sold until 30 minutes before the closure of the terrace.
Old Town Wroclaw:
Wroclaw's Old Town is not only its historical centre but also today's social and cultural centre. Here you will find, not only the city's most splendid architecture but also its best shops, restaurants, bars, galleries and museums.
The very epicentre and life hub of the Old Town is of course the Main Market Square, or 'Rynek'. This amazing space was painstakingly reconstructed after WW2 to recall the Baroque splendour of its heyday. Here the good citizens of Wroclaw gather to eat, shop, drink, dance and generally mill about. More than one tourist has never make it past this pleasure spot, such is its allure
The Market Square, Wrocław:
The Market Square, Wrocław is a medieval market square in Wrocław, now the heart of a pedestrian zone. The square is rectangular with the dimensions 213 by 178 metres.
Vinyl Cafe, Wroclaw:
This groovy little cafe is an obvious labour of love, and old school audiophiles will literally feel right at home with the living room arrangement around the hi-fi record player. Full of cosy armchairs, crates of vinyl LPs and shelves of books, come in, pick out a 45, curl up with a coffee or beer and a book and you've got yourself the perfect afternoon.
Kontynuacja Wroclaw:
A great beer with an amazing, and unique choice of craft beers, cool ambience and very friendly staff

In this video I share the experience I had on my trip to Wroclaw, Poland.
Wroclaw is the biggest city in Western Poland and the fourth biggest city in Poland overall.
There are a lot of things to do in Wroclaw and it's a great place to visit if your open to explore somewhere outside of the typical Krakow and Warsaw.
There are more than 130,000 students studying at the various universities in Wroclaw so it's a vibrant and youthful city with a great night life.
During my trip to Wroclaw I explored the beautiful Wroclaw Old Town (Rynek), the beautiful Old Town Hall, Ostrow Tumski and most of the other Wroclaw tourist sights.
It's definitely worth visiting Wroclaw if you get the chance and it's somewhere you don't want to miss on your next trip to Poland!
