Our First Trip to Placencia, Belize

Recently we went to Belize and on our first leg of our trip we flew in from LAX to BZE and then took a puddle jumper with Tropic Air for our 35 minute flight to Placencia where we rented a fantastic beachfront two bedroom condo at Los Porticos Villas with a gigantic balcony and literally a three minute drive to and from the little airport. Placencia is located on a peninsula, a three hour drive south of Belize City, which is why we took the puddle jumper. During our stay at Los Porticos Villas we enjoyed a few meals at the nearby Breezeway Pool Bar at the Mariposa Beach Suites and the onsite Italian restaurant called La Dolce Vita.

Placencia Village is a seaside community that is predominantly one of many prominent tourism sites for the country of Belize. Over recent years the village have undergone major developments, putting it as a hot spot for tourist destination.
No monetary value was made from this video, it was entirely done for recreation.

Why You Have to Visit Placencia Belize on Your Vacation

Described by locals are “barefoot perfect”, Placencia is a small 16-mile long narrow peninsula in southeastern Belize with gorgeous beaches on the Caribbean side and a lovely mangrove-lined lagoons on the western side. Located just a few miles from the Belize Barrier Reef, Placencia is one of the country’s premiere spots for diving, fishing, cruising, and snorkeling vacations. Nearby on the mainland are several Garifuna villages, Maya ruins, and one of the country’s largest nature preserves complete with indigenous jaguars.

My fiancé and I just got back from a 12 day adventure in Belize. Tag along with us as we explore this beautiful country full of wildlife, Mayan ruins, caves, islands, and barrier reef. We stayed in San Ignacio, Placencia, and Caye Caulker. We also crossed the border to Guatemala to check out Tikal National Park. To capture our trip, I brought my Panasonic LUMIX GH5, DJI Mavic Pro, and GoPro HERO7. Belize Sailing Trip

We took a day sailing trip on a catamaran. The trip was awesome sailing and we went to two great snorkeling locations. We came home with one lobster and one crab to eat that night! It was a great day!

Snorkeling and Sailing in Belize from Chabil Mar

Spent the day sailing to Laughing Bird Caye with Nautical Adventures from Placencia and Chabil Mar. We were preparing to leave the island return to Placencia Village. Wonderful wonderful day.
