Finally got to swim in Europe!!! Since their seawater is cold and the waves are pretty strong for me to swim (even though it’s Summer Season), I enjoyed the feels of the sand and sound of the waves. And that’s already a big thing for a woman, who came from a tropical country (my beloved PHILIPPINES) and who literally loves the beach. I love this experience! Thank you Fam!

Beautiful wide open sandy beach with private peaceful areas amongst the dunes also, commercial zones with plentiful beach restaurants and bars. The coastal tram service runs parallel with the beach. If you enjoy walking you can walk as far as you like then take a ride back to your starting point.

Belgium Travel Vlog | Exploring De Haan Beach + beautiful houses and buildings made of Brickstones
From the South of Germany we traveled almost 12 hours including a little bit of road traffic to reach De Haan in Belgium, Brussels.
De Haan is a coastal community in the north of Belgium. It is known for its long beach. So far this is one of the beaches in Europe that I love of going back when given the opportunity. I fell in love with de Haan because of its fine and white sand, it is surrounded with beautiiful scenery, beautiful hotels and restaurants. One can enjoy swimming, wandering around either by foot or by bicycle. They also have here horseback riding, if one is fond of doing this.

De Haan, Belgium
De Haan is a seaside resort in West Flanders which to a large extent shows Belle Epoque architecture. To a large extent outside of the summer season it is a place where people retire to. Its name in Dutch means the rooster - I don't know where that comes from. The town has an 18-hole golf course which is the only links course in Belgium. It was opened by King Leopold !! in 1903. Albert Einstein lived here in 1933 after fleeing from Nazi Germany.

That is not to say that the other countries are forgotten, they are not, but obviously there is less going on. However the fact that there are so many travel related films here is not from holidays but from business trips attending trade fairs around the region. Every packaging trade fair is a new excuse to make another film!

De Haan ist der schönste Badeort an der belgischen Nordseeküste. Das behaupten vielleicht andere auch gerne von sich, aber wenige Orte sind so anmutig wie dieser und ob Sie wollen oder nicht, Sie werden sich bestimmt mit der Zeit in De Haan verlieben. Das historische Villenviertel mit dem Namen Concessie ist das pulsierende Herz des Ortes. Hochbau war und ist bis heute ausgeschlossen. Das Ergebnis: ein auffallend grünes anglo-normannisches Viertel mit einem herrlichen Wirrwarr von grünen kurvigen Alleen entlang der zahlreichen Ferienhäuser und Hotels. Jedes Gebäude hat dabei seine eigene Geschichte. Sie entdecken wahre Schmuckstücke, kommen bestimmt an der Untertauchadresse Albert Einsteins vorbei und wissen nicht, wohin Sie zuerst schauen sollen.
Egal, ob Sie gerne surfen, joggen, angeln, reiten, kiten, segeln... - fast alles ist möglich am schier endlos erscheinenden Strand von De Haan. Sandburgen bauen, Gruben graben, Strandblumen machen, Muscheln sammeln, den Wellen trotzen - am Strand erleben Ihre Sprösslinge sicherlich tolle Abenteuer.
Am ersten Samstag im August werden Sie mit Trammelant, dem eindrucksvollen Belle Epoque-Fest, ohne Mühe in die Vergangenheit katapultiert. Historische Fahrzeuge durchqueren die Alleen und mit den vielen Bands am Straßenrand geraten Sie ziemlich schnell in Extase.
De Haan - mit Sicherheit eine Urlaubsreise wert! Aber vergessen Sie nicht, ein gut gefülltes Portemonnaie mitzunehmen, wenn Sie sich mittags oder abends auf die Suche nach einer guten Mahlzeit machen. Am besten buchen Sie gleich Vollpension.
