Een van de 100-en activiteiten tijdens de Week van het Nederlandse Bier 2016 (19 - 29 mei). Bezoek aan brouwerij de Pelgrim in Rotterdam, waar ze alles vertellen over het brouwproces van bier.
Café De Pelgrim opnieuw open
Het bekende café De Pelgrim tegenover brouwerij De Koninck is opnieuw open. De zaak sloot 8 jaar geleden de deuren en er werd geen overnemer gevonden. Brouwerij Duvel Moortgat besloot dan maar zelf het café te vernieuwen en uit te baten. Het is nu een eetcafé waar bij elk gerecht een typisch biertje gedronken kan worden.

Brouwerij Kaapse Brouwers is located in Katendrecht, a part of Rotterdam with a rough past. The general thought was that no one would come to this side of town for good drinks and good food. Now craft brewery and brewpub Brouwerij Kaapse Brouwers and the Fenix Food Factory are a major tourist attraction that draws quite a crowd, especially in the weekends. Kaapse Brouwers is one of the best craft beer bars in Rotterdam!

010nu - Microbrouwerij The Browery wint pitchprijs Awesome Foundation
Het was spannend op het MH4 terrein Delfshaven, waar de eerste pitch avond van de Rotterdamse Awesome Foundation werd gehouden. Vier initiatieven streden om €1000,- voor hun initiatief. Microbrouwerij The Browery uit de Provenierswijk ging er met de pot vandoor.
De Awesome Foundation is een wereldwijd fenomeen met in 82 steden een dependance. In navolging van Amsterdam heeft Rotterdam nu ook een eigen chapter. Het idee van de Awesome Foundation simpel elke maand is er een pitch avond waar ondernemers hun idee kunnen pitchen. 20 ‘trustees’ leggen elk €50,- in wat dus samen €1000,- maakt . Deze €50,- geeft hen stemrecht. De groep trustees zijn een zeer diverse groep Rotterdammers: van kunstenaars tot zakenmensen.
De eerste pitch avond was een groot succes. De volgende pitch avond staat daarom al gepland in januari

Rotterdam Harbor - Top Places to Visit
New Amsterdam Travel Video- We like taking you to other places in The Netherlands outside of Amsterdam. Rotterdam is a world-class city with so much to see and do. So much so, we had to limit this episode to just the harbor areas of the city. Luckily our hosts, Rich from Holland Photography Tours lives there and Sander was born there. So they are the perfect guides for a great day. Delfshaven still has Old World charm that contrasts most of the city's modern, sleek architecture. This quaint harbor is known as the starting point for the Pilgrim Fathers making their way to America. Leuvehaven is home to the Maritime Museum with different kinds of ships moored outside for you to discover and explore. Katendrecht is a hip, renovated area centered around the Fenix Food Factory. Hotel New York will take you back to the early 1900s when the Holland America Line shipped immigrants to the New World. Everything is easy to get to with an efficient tram and metro system and the speedy water taxis will give you a thrilling ride. We're already planning our next Rotterdam visit and episode!
