A Walk Through Chester, England
Chester is a walled city in Cheshire, England. Lying on the River Dee, close to the border with Wales, it is the largest and most populous settlement of the unitary authority area of Cheshire West and Chester, which had a population of 328,100 according to the 2001 Census,[increasing to 329,608 at the 2011 Census. Chester was granted city status in 1541.
Chester was founded as a castrum or Roman fort with the name Deva Victrix, during the reign of the Emperor Vespasian in AD79. One of the three main army camps in the Roman province of Britannia, Deva later became a major civilian settlement. In 689, King Æthelred of Mercia founded the Minster Church of West Mercia, which later became Chester's first cathedral, and the Saxons extended and strengthened the walls, much of which remain, to protect the city against the Danes. Chester was one of the last cities in England to fall to the Normans. William the Conqueror ordered the construction of a castle, to dominate the town and the nearby Welsh border.
Chester is one of the best preserved walled cities in Britain. It has a number of medieval buildings, but some of the black-and-white buildings within the city centre are Victorian restorations. Apart from a 100-metre (330 ft) section, the listed Grade I walls are almost complete. The Industrial Revolution brought railways, canals, and new roads to the city, which saw substantial expansion and development – Chester Town Hall and the Grosvenor Museum are examples of Victorian architecture from this period.

Mary Portas Leamington Spa Old Town
This is the official video for the Leamington Old Town bid for Mary Portas funding. A bottom-up bid started with speculation about a second round, and after a few frantic conversations a really strong bid team was put together and got to work.
Many thanks to Matt Waddell for editing time, and the music. 14 Records!
Also thanks to Chris Barrow for the Camera Work, and to Shanade for her first presenting job. We were all far too amateur to get away with this.
Old Town is a really great place to be. It might not look it, and things might not always be right, but we love it very much. We hope you do too.

Dublin, Ireland. History, Population, Best Time To Visit
Dublin is the capital and largest city of Ireland. Its vibrancy, nightlife and tourist attractions are renowned and it is the most popular entry point for international visitors to Ireland.
LOCATION
Dublin is on the east coast of Ireland, in the province of Leinster, at the mouth of the River Liffey, The River Liffey divides the city in two, between the Northside and the Southside. and is bordered on the south by the Wicklow Mountains.
HISTORY
There is archaeological debate regarding precisely where Dublin was established by the Gaels in or before the 7th century AD. Later expanded as a Viking settlement, the Kingdom of Dublin, the city became Ireland's principal settlement following the Norman invasion. The city expanded rapidly from the 17th century and was briefly the second largest city in the British Empire before the Acts of Union in 1800. Following the partition of Ireland in 1922, Dublin became the capital of the Irish Free State, later renamed Ireland.
POPULATION
After World War Two, Italians were by far the largest immigrant group in both Dublin and Ireland. Dublin has experienced a significant level of net immigration, with the greatest numbers coming from the European Union, especially the United Kingdom, Poland and Lithuania. In terms of religion, 68.2% identified as Catholic.
BEST TIME
The best time to visit Dublin is June through August when temperatures are warm and festivals fill the streets. This also constitutes the most expensive time to visit, with high hotel rates and airfare prices. It's also the most crowded time of year. For good weather, manageable crowds, and lower prices, visit in April, May, or mid-September through mid-October.
CLIMATE
Similar to much of the rest of northwestern Europe, Dublin experiences a maritime climate with cool summers, mild winters, and a lack of temperature extremes. the sunniest months are May and June, while the wettest month is October, and the driest month is February. Winters in Dublin are relatively mild. daytime temperatures generally hover around the 5°C, but frost is common during the period November through to February when night time temperatures dip below 0°C. Summers in Dublin are also mild. The average maximum temperature is 20°C in July.
ECONOMY
The Dublin region is the economic centre of Ireland. Dublin was listed as the fourth richest city in the world by purchasing power and 10th richest by personal income. Companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, eBay, PayPal, Yahoo!, Facebook, Twitter, Accenture and Pfizer now have European headquarters and/or operational bases in the city.

Tropical Sol Hotel Tigaki Kos: super - deals - better - price
Tropical Sol a great place to visit
As I had always gone to a different hotel before I was unsure of what I had awaiting me at the Tropical Sol but for sure I am glad I went. Me and my family have been there for four years now and we have really enjoyed it. All staff are very polite with the two receptionist always willing to help and the delicious snack bar run by Terry. It's only a short distance from the beach but the pool has a great depth for everyone and a relaxing jacuzzi for all ages. The rooms may be a little small but there is a choice of the sizes to compliment what you want best. Between 7-9:30 is a continental breakfast offering for both sweet teeth and your five a day.
Excellent hotel
Stayed here for one week and cannot praise it enough. I have stayed in the angela, akti dimmys, mythos and meni and this was our favourite.
Staff, owners and Terry the pool barman were brilliant, terrys food was superb and reasonably priced. Had a laugh around the pool bar and were made to feel welcome.
Yes british are in the minority but the guests who were mostly German always polite and trying to speak to you.
Pool area was the best, no towels down, big and open so lovely breeze and never crowded.
The rooms were small but had everything you needed and were spotless clean.
Breakfast was adequate at best but some days we waited until Terry started at 10 and had bacon eggs on toast, delicious.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as location also was spot on, on the strip (but quiet) for bars etc and 5mins to the beach. Defo be returning!!
The tourist guides Greek Tourism and Hotel in Greece visited the hotel and were satisfied with the quality of the goods offered to them and they suggested it unreservedly.
