???? This is the world’s largest crater that was carved out by flowing water. Ramon Crater, or in Hebrew Makhtesh Ramon, is located at the Negev Desert, in the south of Israel. The formation is 40 km long, 2-10 km wide and 500 meters deep and is shaped like an elongated heart. In this video, we’ll explore the Mitzpe Ramon city which overlooks the Ramon Crater and it’s colorful sands.

Makhtesh Ramon crater in the NEGEV DESERT in Israel
Makhtesh Ramon is a crater in the Negev Desert in the south of Israel. We crossed this extreme landscape in our way from the Dead Sea to the city of Eilat. We explored the excellent visitor centre in Mitzpe Ramon town where you can learn about the history of this arid area.
Sleeping in a local farm in the middle of the desert (Alpaca farm) surrounded by lamas and alpacas was a good end to this wonderful trip.

In this video we share our journey of leaving Tiberias (the North) for three weeks, and travel to the south. Before going to our last work -stay at the Vineyard in Be'er Milka we took a day to explore the awesome sites in Mitzpe Ramon. The Crater is breath-taking and the animals we encounter are unbelievable. You will see nature at its best.
The time we spent at the vineyard/essence farm was amazing. The couple who own the farm are so hospitable. It was hard to leave this incredible land. We have truly come to appreciate the history of the country and to our beliefs.
Duckie loved his visit to Israel and he is even appears in his Israeli attire.
Well our journey through Israel has come to an end. We have seen so many incredible places all over Israel and Palestine. We are grateful for the blessing to travel and that we can share our amazing adventures with you.
