India: Sangareddy District Jail - The prison people pay to get in

The colonial-era District Central Jail in Sangareddy, in the Indian state of Telangana, opened its doors to tourists, who can now gain a first-hand experience of prison life by paying a fee of 500 rupees ($7.50 / €6,70) for a day's stay.

Footage from the jail in Sangareddy on Wednesday, shows paying visitors languish their 24-hour sentence away in the guest prison. A 24-hour confinement is offered to visiting 'prisoners' under the initiative dubbed 'Feel the Jail' at the 220-year-old jail, which has been converted into a museum.

Upon entering the prison compound, the inmates are provided with a prison uniform, a steel meal plate, a mug, bedding and other basic necessities. During their 24-hour confinement, the guest 'prisoners' are allowed to plant saplings and clean their barracks.

SOT, Santosh Kumar Roy, Deputy Superintendent of Prisons (English): In this villager concept, an individual has been allowed to stay in the jail for a 24-hour time. He has to pay five hundred rupees Again, he will be staying like a jail inmate. He has to wear the jail inmate dress, he has to follow the routines, day-to-day routines, their lock-up time, unlock-up time. Again, you'll be cut from your Facebook and WhatsApp, so you are entirely cut from the society and world.

ndira Gandhi International Airport (IATA: DEL, ICAO: VIDP) serves as the major international aviation hub of the Indian capital city of New Delhi as well as India. The airport, spread over an area of 5,106 acres (2,066 ha), is situated in Palam, 15 km (9.3 mi) south-west of the New Delhi railway station and 16 km (9.9 mi) from New Delhi city centre. Named after former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi, it is the busiest airport in India in terms of passenger traffic since 2009. It is also the busiest airport in the country in terms of cargo traffic, overtaking Mumbai during late 2015. In the calendar year 2018, it was the 12th busiest airport in the world and 6th busiest airport in Asia by passenger traffic handling nearly 70 million passengers. It is the world's busiest airport for Airbus A320 aircraft. The under construction expansion program will increase the airport's capacity to handle 100 million passengers by 2030

The airport is spread over 51.5 acres. It was re-activated in as a part of Airports Authority of India idle airports activation programme in July 2006 to facilitate regular flying by trainee pilots of the Madras Flying Club whose operations were restricted with the increase in scheduled aircraft movement at Chennai Airport.

Vellore is a municipal corporation in the Vellore district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It became a municipal corporation in August 2008.

Vellore lies on the banks of the Palar River on the site of Vellore Fort. The city is located between Chennai (145 km), Bangalore (215 km) and the temple towns of Thiruvannamalai and Tirupati. Vellore has many colleges, ancient temples, a renowned hospital (the Christian Medical College & Hospital) and a well-known technical institute (the Vellore Institute of Technology). Vellore is a transit hub for travellers and tourism.
