For this Tel Aviv, Israel, food tour, we hooked up with my friend David ( to eat some of the best food in Tel Aviv, including a few true gems of Israeli and Middle Eastern food.
Our first stop was in Jaffa, the old area of Tel Aviv, just south of the main city. It’s an ancient Biblical city, and I was excited to visit. Located in Jaffa is Abu Hassan, one of the most legendary and standards of hummus in Tel Aviv.
Abu Hassan - Located in a peaceful area of Jaffa, this restaurant is always packed and busy full of people hungry for hummus, ful, and musabaha. it’s truly a legendary place and the hummus was of the sticky and smooth variety. I think my favorite thing was the musabaha, like hummus, but with whole chickpeas. They also offer a mix of hummus, ful, and musabaha all in a single bowl which is excellent.
Total price - 72 ILS ($20.95)
Sabich Tchernichovsky - An Iraqi Jewish food in Israel, sabich is a pita filled with eggplant and hard boiled eggs, and a selection of salad and condiments. David says that there’s no doubt Sabich Tchernichovsky makes the best sabich in Israel, and I was very impressed. He assembled the pita so slowly and perfectly, adding layer upon layer of eggplant, egg, and salad. It was truly one of the best vegetarian (but with egg) sandwiches I’ve ever had.
Price - 21 ILS ($5.87)
Falafel Johnny Benin - Next to Sabich Tchernichovsky, is Falafel Johnny Benin, a legendary Tel Aviv falafel hole in the wall restaurant. I ordered a half of a falafel sandwich, with salad and tahini. It was delicious, and freshly cooked.
Half falafel pita - 9 ILS ($2.51)
Carmel Market - Carmel Market is one of the most well known of all open air flea markets in Tel Aviv. You’ll find everything there, including a nice food section.
HaBasta Restaurant - Located on a side street of Carmel Market, is HaBasta, a gourmet market fresh restaurant. They served us some very fresh and interesting dishes. The crab was delicious, and the fried veal brain was amazing, but I especially loved the cherry salad.
Total price - 400 ILS ($111.72)
Pronto Restaurant - Owned by the renowned Chef David Frankel, Pronto is a refined Israeli Italian and Mediterranean restaurant. The food was extremely high quality, and the flavors were very subtle and delicious. We were planning to pay for our meal, but David knows the chef very well, and Chef David wouldn’t allow us to pay. Delicious high end gourmet food.
Jasmino - This was probably my favorite food on this entire Israeli food tour of Tel Aviv, Jasmino, specializing in grilled meat pita. The owner, another extremely kind man, ordered me the sweetbreads pita, grilled thymus and bottom part of lamb throat glands, with salad and tahini. It was extraordinary. My kind of a place.
Price - 28 ILS ($7.82)
And that completed our Tel Aviv food tour!

We started our day with Sabich for breakfast, a very popular street food you can eat almost any time of the day (so healthy!), and then a Turkish dessert, Malebi with Arabic coffee. Then, we enter the Carmel Market to sample some local spices and enjoy two types of hummus. Next, Inbal takes us to a local kitchen to eat Yemini food, a bread that is fried with egg and with hummus and zhug (SPICY!). We then try Syrian cookies, and stopped by a stall making fresh pitas. We end the day with a fresh, street-side falafel. All food featured in this video was paid for in full by us.

There are few cities in the world that can compare to Jerusalem in terms of ancient history and religious significance. It’s one of the most fascinating cities in the world, and it’s a city that I’ve wanted to visit my entire life. Finally, along with my friend David ( and Rafram, we explored Jerusalem to discover the food treasures the city has to offer - and let me tell you, you’ll find some incredibly delicious food in Jerusalem!

A few more snacks and sightseeing throughout the afternoon, and that brought us all the way to dinner where David had made reservations to eat at one of the hottest restaurants in Jerusalem, Machneyuda Restaurant. ???? Vegan Food Tour -

Israel is a middle eastern country on the Mediterranean Sea, it is regarded by Jews, Christians and Muslims as the biblical Holy Land, it has gorgeous beaches, and it is an intense party country.
I am starting my tour in the city of Jaffa, which is the southern and oldest part of Tel Aviv, for some mouth watering dessert.
Then I travel to Givatayim for a Jewish- Iraqi and Israeli treat.
Then I head to Ramat-Gan for some delicious meat.
Followed by a trip to Tel-Aviv for one of Israel's most iconic street foods.
Then a drive to Ramla for a delightful Levantine and Egyptian food.
Next a trip to HaSira Interchange in Herzliya for a sweet treat which is just out of this world.
After checking out this amazing delicacy I will take a short walk to the Glilot junction where I will eat an outstanding filling pastry.
I will then hop over to the city of Or Yehuda for a fresh dish that contains a very rich tomato source.
From there to the city of Petach-Tikva where I will eat a very enjoyable dish that is pounded and fried
And lastly I will end my tour in Israel's capital Jerusalem where I will try out some rather unusual ice cream.
If you love to eat delicious meals in beautiful cities which are very close to each other, then you should add Israel to the list of countries that you are definitely going to visit.
Whether inside a bubbling city or in quiet remote gas station which is far from all the noise you will be sure to find some pretty amazing dishes, and some pretty amazing people.

Israel Culinary Tour - Day 3
Day 3
Visit Tsipori National Park, with its ruins of a Second-Temple era Jewish city, where Judah Hanasi redacted the Mishnah some 1800 years ago.
The beautiful villa, the triclinium dining room and the Mona Lisa of the Galilee mosaic floor with its banqueting motifs, suggest that food and wine were important then as now.
Stop at Moshav Tsipori for a taste of their honey and organic olive oil.
Proceed to Acre. The remains of the Crusader town, dating from 1104 to 1291, lie almost intact both above and below today's street level, providing an exceptional picture of the layout and structures of the capital of the medieval Crusader kingdom, along with touches of the Ottoman fortified market town Acre was during the 18th and 19th centuries.
Explore the Knights Halls, the Al-Jazaar Mosque, the bathhouse with its multi-media display, and the new ethnic museum, built right into the rooms of the old wall.
Stroll through the alleys of the Old City, stop in at its spice shops, and taste the local humus and other Middle Eastern and Mediterranean delicacies.
Continue to the Port city of Haifa; visit its picturesque German Templer Colony, the Baha'i Gardens and the Carmel National Park on the outskirts of the city.
Overnight in the Haifa area

ROZET ONE OF THE BEST RESTAURANT IN JAFFA ISRAEL
jaffa restaurants;travel to tel aviv;Restaurant tel aviv
Coffee Shops Cafe
Address MARZUK and AZAR, Jaffa
Phone No: 03-5166477
There is a restaurant in Jaffa, Tel Aviv, that we would say is one of the best.
There are few restaurants nearby, but this one we found the best. It is wide enough to walk freely through it, the food was more than delicious, and the staff that was responsible for our fine impression was non-intrusive, neat and in good mood also! These are some of the most important things if you ask me.WHAT ABOUT THE FOOD IN ROZET RESTAURANT
My favorite question… I have been to many Jaffa restaurants, but if I would be a tourist traveling to Tel Aviv and would have to choose where to try the must-try food in Jaffa, I would surely end here, in Rozet. Here is some of the enjoyment of my morning in this Rozet restaurant:
ZAATAR PITA
Zaatar is the well-known mixture of spices in Israel, it is popular for seasoning meat and flat bread. You can buy it mixed and packed in many kosher stores and the stores that sell Middle East food. Pita is the piece of soft flatbread, and by combining those two, Zaatar and Pita, you get the most delicious breakfast or dinner, Zaatar Pita.
It is a must-try food if you come to visit Israel. It is very simple to make and the flavor is fantastic, but only if you choose the right restaurant, as it is Rozet.
SAVORY PASTRIES
They serve also excellent savory pastries, with or without cheese or other filling, and many more. You should come and try the perfect place that we have verified by having a perfect morning there.
Of course, the salads were prepared at the moment they served us our breakfast. If we were looking at it, we could have seen the preparation.
COFFEE
There is more than enough light, because it is mostly in glass, and there are tables outside as well. According to the weather here, we had our breakfast outside. The tables are widely set. Every table has its own comfort. And the coffee was special too, as it is in real-quality coffee shops in Tel Aviv, or elsewhere.
ROZET – JAFFA, TEL AVIV, ISRAEL
The place a tourist must see
What I have seen there, is that Rozet restaurant is a very large place, that seriously can serve and successfully accommodate a lot of guests, but on the other hand, it provides originality of historically recognized place, as well as pleasant experience and politeness altogether.
Rozet restaurant in Jaffa is placed near the Jaffa clock tower, one of the seven clock towers in Israel, that was built in the period of the Ottoman’s Kingdom. That is the center of Jaffa, and around the clock tower, there are several historical monuments placed, so the restaurants, cafes and hotels there are working well, the visitors pass through that part of town in a large number. There is flea market nearby, a great tourist attraction, as well. What you can find and see here, is not possible to describe in these few words. But for one, I am sure:
Everything’s fine, but Rozet is special.
The address of the Rozet restaurant is: Marzouk and Azar, Jaffa, Tel Aviv
There is a roundabout few minutes far from restaurant, and you can get there by buses as well, because many lines pass through Marzouk and Azar. You certainly will not forget it. הירשמו לערוץ שלנו לקבלת המלצות לטיולים בארץ אונליין :

I don't normally eat at very many high end fancy restaurants like this. But my friend David ( invited me to eat at Eyal Shani's flagship restaurant in Tel Aviv known as Ha Salon (The Salon), saying it was one of the most unique restaurants you'll ever try. So thank you to David for getting reservations and for covering this meal.
It turned out to be very exciting, with a full open kitchen where you could watch all the food being prepared in front of you. It was lively, and the food was prepared with extremely high quality ingredients.
A couple things for you to know:
1. It's extremely expensive
2. It's a very party environment, so don't come here for a quiet relaxed date where you can have a conversation.

Tel Aviv, Israel.
It’s a comfort food destination that people from all over the world come to see and enjoy.
Sabich Tchernichovsky (סביח טשרניחובסקי) - Sabich is a Jewish Iraqi pitta that is stuffed with hard boiled eggs and fried eggplant. You can also put different kinds of salads inside This Sabich was one of the best sabichs I ate in my life – if not the best. It takes them literally a few minutes to make a single Sabich (by putting layer upon layer of ingredients) – just by that I knew that I have come to the right place.
Price - 22 ILS ($6.08)
Address: Tchernikhovski St 2
Johnny's Falafel - Banin (פלאפל ג'וני בנין)
Right next to Sabich Tchernichovsky you will find Johnny's Falafel (Falafel Banin in Hebrew) which is one of the most legendaries Falafels in Tel-Aviv (opened in 1955).
If you are hungry, and you want to get a cheap delicious meal with no complicated ingredients that will satisfy you immensely then Johnny’s Falefel should be right down your alley.
I read on their sign that their falafel is gluten free, so if you are interested then you might want to ask them about it.
Price - 18 ILS ($4.98)
Tchernikhovski St 2
Vitrina (ויטרינה)
One of most talked about food spots in Tel-Aviv is the Vitrina - a trendy burger joint.
I ate there one of the best burgers and fries that I have had in my life.
My personal recommendation is to ask the staff at the restaurant to include the beet ketchup sauce with your order, and also just make sure that they add the lemon zest on the fries, so you will get the full experience.
Price - 57 ILS ($15.75)
Address: Shlomo Ibn Gabirol St 36
Jasmino (ג'סמינו)
A BBQ restaurant that is located right opposite to a big synagogue
I have ordered a pita with sweatbreads which is basically lamb organ meat - from the thymus gland and pancreas.
The pitta was stuffed with meat, and the meat was perfectly seasoned – the meat was just so tender and so tasty that it blew my mind. I also loved the fresh salad and perfectly roasted vegetables that they put inside the pita like onions and chilies that really give this extra kick to the meal.
Probably one of the best meals that I ate in my life
Price - 47 ILS ($13)
Address: Allenby St 97
Eat Meat (איט מיט)
In Eat Meat the grilling is done right in front of your eyes, and you can choose between a meat sandwich and a meat salad.
The crisp bread sandwich was just packed with juicy delicious meat that was so comforting and fulfilling, and the fresh vegetables were also excellent.
Price - 43 ILS ($11.89)
Address: King George St 68,
Dilek's (דילקס)
Dilek's is one of most well known family ran authentic Turkish burrekas joints in Tel-Aviv, and it is considered by many to be one of the best.
A burrekas is a pastry which is made from phyllo dough, and its origins in Turkish cuisine.
I have ordered a water burrekas with cheese and spinach, and it was simply outstanding.
Price - 24 ILS ($6.63)
Address: Hagana Rd 33

Street Food in Israel
Food for thought on Israel's streets
Street food is enjoying a revival around the world ... and the Israeli street is packed with mouth-watering morsels.
If you enjoy food, then in Israel you don't have to splash out on expensive restaurants, instead you can enjoy one of the many inexpensive eateries that line the streets of the country's cities and towns.
Fresh, authentic and quintessentially Mideast fare is on offer -- from falafel, deep-fried balls of mashed chickpeas, fava beans and herbs; to shwarma, slices of turkey, chicken or lamb shaved off a huge slab of meat rotating on a big spit; or hummus, a spread made of crushed chickpeas, tehini sauce, lemon, olive oil, salt and garlic.
For the connoisseurs, there's also sabich, a sandwich made of fried eggplant, hard-boiled egg, salad and a mango pickle; shakshuka, a pan-fried casserole of poached eggs and spicy tomato sauce; or bourekas, pastry dough stuffed with mushrooms, mashed potato, spinach or cheese.
In an age when fast food has become synonymous with junk food, Israel's street food vendors are proving that fast food doesn't have to be tasteless or unhealthy.
