Popular British YouTuber Khyan filmed this awesome short flick at the Westerham Paintball Centre in Kent as part of Youtube's 'Geek Week' - a celebration of anything niche or weird for fans of every genre. We were more than happy to help Khyan create the perfect setting for his 'If Larpers Could Kill' movie, with the woodland backdrop and Wild West village of our Gold Rush game zone becoming the disillusioned protagonist's version of an overrun Elven Castle. We like a bit of imagination during our paintball games, but this really is something else!
Following a script and armed with weapons that would sound more familiar in a game of 'Dungeons and Dragons', the three heroes stumble upon some trespassers in their pre-booked fantasy scenario; namely, innocent paintball players! What ensues can only be described as a gory, yet totally hilarious, bloodfest full of dramatic slow-mo deaths and decapitations. The Westerham Paintball Centre in Kent on a normal day is far less dangerous but equally as exciting, with players enjoying the thrilling missions of London Apocalypse, our fast-paced speedball arena Chemical Alley and much more.
The paintballers, equipped with our latest state-of-the-art equipment, still had no chance against the 'Sabre of Screaming Children' and, it is safe to say, were eliminated with ease. Maybe this was just punishment for those who had taken off their paintball helmets outside of base camp?

Eastenders Black Hawk Down Paintballing Action | Delta Force Paintball
If you think Eastenders is just about people shouting at each other, being told they're the real father or starting fights down the Queen Vic in East End Walford, maybe you should think again, especially when you combine the BBC soap with paintballing action at a Delta Force paintball centre - like the one in Hemel Hempstead. As Sugar Ray actor Chuck Venn says It was amazing!

Whether you're a fan of soap operas or not (we suspect the Delta Force Terminator might be), Eastenders has become a staple part of the British television diet for a number of years and millions across the country follow the drama every week. As this clip shows, filming doesn't always take place in the hustle and bustle of a Cockney market place or busy greasy café; sometimes they need to head out to the great outdoors to shoot the action. That's certainly what they achieved when they visited Delta Force Hemel Hempstead, one of 30 UK and Ireland locations that we operate in idyllic countryside settings.
The scene was for a storyline that follow Tameka Empson and her character Kimberley Fox, who along with her friends and family in the series celebrated a surprise birthday party - not too different to the ones we host in reality, except maybe for all the film crew and the removing of masks in the game zones (naughty crew!). During the episode, she seems reluctant at first - but before long she's cartwheeling away from the enemy fire whilst returning the mission objective on Black Hawk Down! See the action for yourself.

Watch from the pov perspective as players make their way through familiar old west style landmarks such as a saloon bar, bank, hangman's corner and even an undertakers. Seeing the action from the players eyes doesn't quite compare to experiencing the paintballing action for yourself though!

Paintballing Pyrotechnics Featuring Smoke Bombs | Delta Force Paintball

Pyrotechnics aren't just spectacular additions to a paintballing players weapons arsenal; they are the ideal tactical device to change the course of an intense shootout, clear structures that are garrisoned by the enemy and generally cause total confusion for the opponent forces in true gotcha style!
First up are the smoke grenades - these slick-looking silver canisters really pack a colourful punch! Sadly they don't come with a grenade launcher but can be easily thrown. Within a matter of seconds after sparking them up, the battleground will be transformed into an eerie and atmospheric wasteland in which you are now shrouded from enemy targets, a useful diversion tactic at any time during the match.
Paint grenades and the Thunderflash almost come as a pair, due to the nature of their use and their impact. Instead of prolonged targeting against the enemy that the smoke grenade uses, these pyrotechnics rely on instant and sudden impact to stun and eliminate the enemy, often as a method of clearing structures and fortified control points. Simple to use - our marshals will be happy to guide you through the how-to-use process --players will soon realise how crucial they can be to securing mission objectives and generally helping out teammates in trouble.
Filmed at our South Bristol Paintball Centre, the crew of the pyrotechnic creators Cloud 9 Combat made full use of our cinematic game zones - as you can see from the video, their exciting action shots complemented the movie-quality structures and props perfectly. Event: My 24th Brithday party.
Result: Total Annihilation, Epic Win, Total Pwnage, Decimation.
My 5 mins of pure glory! Admittedly I didn't do as well for the other games but this game made up for them!
Venue Rules (at time of recording):
- Headshots don't count (sorry epic headshot paintball kid)
- so funny
- no shooting within 3 meters of opponent (this is why when I turned to see the guy behind the barrels I backed off and said sorry for shooting him at such close range, I kept shooting the barrel and near him to stop him from poking his head out to shoot me while I retreated)
Game Rules (at time of recording):
- The aim is to eliminate the opposing team. No other objecives once the team has no players left the game is won.
- Game lasts 10-15 mins tops I think. If there are still players on each team it is a draw.
- Field marshals (yellow guys) shout every set amount of time a key word (I think ours was move and they shouted every 1-2mins) when they shout every member on the team needs to move from their point of cover to a new point of cover otherwise the team that fails to do so will loose points.
- No climbing or jumping barrels
- if an opponent is on the other side of a barrel barricade you are on, you are not allowed to shoot through the holes between the barrels because this breaks the 3 meter rule (see venue rules above)
- No respawns.
Own the snake, own the field.
The footage was taken on a GoPro HDhero on a helmet mount on the top part of a full face paintball mask. The straps go through the ventilation holes...barely.
Funny side note; if you slow the footage down the guy i shot at nearly point blank i shot at him with 3 or 4 shots, it looks like each one of them missed but only by centimeters!
Another funny note is that almost all of these people are my friends I invited to come paintballing!
PS: Sorry for shooting people more than once after they raised their hand! adrenaline makes me trigger happy!
