Delta Surplus Sale
Every second Friday of the month, Aviation Enthusiasts descend on a shed next door to the Delta Flight Museum in Atlanta, Georgia. There, they comb through piles of aviation-related goodies. Everything from new blankets to old plates, it's all here. Perhaps nothing's more impressive than the airplane seats, though. I picked up some of my own. I also got a bunch of other cool stuff we'll check out.
This video also features an interview with Judy Bean who manages the Delta Surplus sale. She'll give you the ins-and-outs and will explain how you can take advantage of this interesting quirk of Delta Air Lines. You'll also find out how the Delta Surplus Sale benefits the Delta Flight Museum.

737 200 Flight Simulator Experience - Delta Flight Museum #5 - EP 97
Delta Flight Museum features a real world flight simulator used to train 737-200 pilots back in the day when those planes were flying, today it's used to train, amuse or just be fun for Museum visitors. With professional instructors you can choose where to fly from and rent this simulator for hour slots. We were able to take off and land the 28 R from San Francisco and it was a lot of fun with Mike Raftis at the copilot seat as an instructor. For more information visit

Delta Museum Boeing 737 200 Simulator
Flight simulator video from the Delta Museum in Atlanta, GA. This 737-200 simulator was used by Delta to train their pilots, until it was retired. It has steampot gauges, not a glass cockpit. Rudy was a retired Delta pilot. He started at Southern Airlines in 1969 and flew for over 30 years in a variety of aircraft including the 747. He now volunteers at the Delta Museum as one of the people running the simulator. He'll judge how much flight experience you have, and then set up a series of tasks to challenge you. He was outstanding and made our time there so much fun! My son is studying to be an airline pilot and Rudy offered a lot of advice to him that was useful.
Delta Air Lines Engine Fire At Atlanta (April, 2018)
On April 18, 2018, at about 1809 eastern daylight time, a Delta Air Lines Airbus A330-300, N806NW, equipped with two Pratt & Whitney PW4168A-1D engines, experienced a No. 2 engine fire during initial climb from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (KATL), Atlanta, Georgia.
The flight crew reported a No. 2 engine fire electronic centralized aircraft monitor (ECAM) indication at about 500 feet AGL, declared an emergency, shutdown the No. 2 engine, discharged both fire bottles, and initiated an air turn back to KATL.
During the return to ATL, the fire warning indication cleared, and the airplane made an uneventful overweight single engine landing.
After the aircraft landed, airport rescue firefighting (ARFF) crews met the plane on the runway, quickly covering the engine - and runway - in fire retardant foam.
The airplane was ultimately towed to the gate and the passengers disembarked. There were no injuries to passengers or crew and the airplane sustained substantial damage.
The flight was being operated in accordance with 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 121 and was a regularly scheduled flight from KATL to London Heathrow International Airport (EGLL), London, England.
Of note: The audio between 6:25 - 6:59 captures an air traffic controller flipping out. That is somewhat noteworthy on its own, but what I actually want to point out is that the controller loses his cool and then almost immediately provides an incorrect instruction.
[The audio in this piece is obviously not in sync with the video. In a few cases it may not even be in sync with itself. For whatever reason, ATL's recordings duplicated many sections of recorded audio within as well as between files. It took a lot to bring both the video (which had its own issues) and the audio to where they are now. C'est la vie. Enjoy.]

Producing What You Haven't Seen is immensely rewarding, but it's a full-time job and in the long run I can't do it without you.
Consistently producing the content you enjoy takes a tremendous amount of time and a non-trivial amount of money, and no matter how many views this channel gets I don't get a penny from YouTube.
So I have a simple ask: If you appreciate this content and look forward to more of it, click the link below and pledge whatever feels right to you.
All supporters get instant access to a video covering the collision of two F-16s at Nellis Air Force Base, and as the channel reaches its goals tons of incredible footage will be unlocked.
Thank you. And now back to your regularly unscheduled programming.
