DENMARK WESTERN AUSTRALIA | A Short film featuring Greens Pool, Lights Beach, and other sights
Denmark is a small friendly town located in the Great Southern region in the state of Western Australia. Denmark, Western Australia, in addition to its abundance of natural beauty (think rugged coastline, white sandy beaches, tall trees) is also home to award winning wineries, artists of all kinds, and many popular festivals.
This short film showcases only a small part of what Denmark has to offer, let alone the rest of the Great Southern region.
Locations in this film (with timestamps and map links):
[00:04]
Ocean Beach
Just a few kilometres from Denmark town, Ocean Beach is popular for surfing, swimming, and sandcastles.
Map:
[01:11]
Mount Lindesay
Mt Lindesay is a 23km drive from Denmark town along scenic sealed and unsealed roads. Mt Lindesay itself sits 385 metres above sea level and the summit is reached by a 10km return walk and is classed as moderately difficult with some steep sections. You should allow approximately 3-4 hours for the return walk and make sure you follow all safe bushwalking practices such as taking plenty of drinking water, sun protection, tell people where you're going and what time you expect to be back, walk in a least a group of three people, etc. ( read more about safety here: )

[03:34]
Lights Beach
A few kiliometres from Denmark town, Lights Beach is actually several beaches. The sealed roads from Denmark end in a carpark with a lookout and there is also a paved path leading to some wooden steps to get down to the longer stretch of beach which is also an authorized dog walking area. Both the Bibbulmun Track (walking trail) and the Munda Biddi Trail (off-road cycling trail) are accessible from Lights Beach.
Map:
[05:12]
Elephant Rocks and Greens Pool
Approximately 18km from Denmark along sealed roads is William Bay National Park that among other attractions features Elephant Rocks and Greens Pool. Greens Pool is famous for calm turquoise and green water and white sandy beach and is a popular spot for swimming, snorkeling, and simply relaxing. Elephant Rocks is named after the giant granite boulders that some say resemble a herd of elephants walking out to sea. Also popular for swimming and snorkeling, there can be strong currents that run through the cove so care should be taken.

Great Southern Ocean Safety
You should take care when visiting the Great Southern coast, unexpected large waves and strong currents can be dangerous. Be careful when walking next to the ocean, fishing off rocks, etc as people have died on this stretch of coastline. You should always obey the official signage at each location and ask at one of the local visitor centres about safety before heading out.

Denmark Western Australia Video Guide
Things to do in Denmark and Albany, Western Australia.
Planning a road trip and up to explore Western Australia?
Here are the best attractions, activities and beautiful places to see south of Perth.
The trip will take you about 4.5 hours driving. We initially wanted to go to Esperance (8 hours one way), but we only had 4 days and decided to go to Denmark instead.
You can also stop here for a couple of days on your way to Esperance.
Blow Hole - amazing place for surfing, sightseeing, hiking. There are lots of stairs and the place is not suitable for kids or anyone with limited ability to walk.
Elephant Rocks & Green Pools.
Two world's wonders in one place!
Massive rocks looking like big elephants if you use a little bit of imagination.
Turquoise water and rock pools - are great for swimming, snorkelling, cliff jumping, taking awesome photos etc.
Alpaka Farm.
Amazing for both kids and for adults. Meet unique and cute rescued wild and domestic animals and interact with them.
Visit Ocean beach to see a breathtaking lookout and beginners surfers, take some surf lessons if you wish :)
The Gap - step on the edge of the world! The most breathtaking place I have ever seen in my life. Watch your hats for the wind :) I think this can be a great place to do an engagement proposal if you are looking for something special and for a place you will definitely remember!
Honey Farm & Hobey Icecream shop.
Delicious Icecream with lots of flavours based on local honey! Yum! Must try. It is also quite cheap compared to any Perth Gelato shops :)
Tree Top Walk.
Exotic hanging bridge on top of the trees!
When we planned to go there, the weather was very stormy and unfortunately, it is not in the video, hope you will have a chance to visit - tag me on your photos! I would love to see your captures. @inna_tevi

2020 Scotsdale Road, Denmark, Western Australia
2020 VISION PERFECT!
This 5.5 ha gem is on top of the hill on Scotsdale Road, 20 km from Denmark and directly opposite the Alpaca Farm.
This gorgeous home has wrap around verandas enjoying 360 degree serene views. Privacy is protected by an olive grove on the east and your own Karri Forest on the west - sheltering you from prevailing winds. The sunny back patio and pergolas face north while the house faces south to the ocean with glimpses through the trees of William Bay – roughly 10 minutes’ drive away.
The property is cleverly divided into quarters – Karri forest, pasture, an olive grove and the house and gardens.
Enter into a large open plan kitchen/dining/lounge area with wooden floors and a wood fire. Large windows and a skillion roof add a feeling of space, light and airiness.
The main bedroom en suite is separate from the second bathroom and 2 more bedrooms.
The kitchen is small but practical with a feature tree slab as a main working counter and a deep pantry.
The north facing patio is pure joy to behold and filled with pergolas, various seating areas, a circular driveway and a variety of prolific fruit trees and roses.
The studio is insulated and powered, with wide windows and sliding glass doors. It has a council approved commercial kitchen facility where the current owner presses olive oil.
Zoned Tourist 6: Holiday accommodation, restaurant, cellar sales etc. which makes it doubly attractive and precious!!
