MeCabo, Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico
Last time I already told you about the region Los Cabos in Baja California Sur, Mexico. Today I want to give you some more advices. If you are planning to spend your next holiday there, I can give you some insider information and good tips to choose the right hotels in Cabo San Lucas. Cabo San Lucas is a small city, that´s very popular for tourist travelling Mexico.Especially in springtime you can have a good time in San Lucas, exploring the wonderful beaches and impressive bays. I´ve you like to meet local animals, you can do a camel ride through the desert park natural reserve. Or you decide to spend some of your budget to swim with the magnificent dolphins.
Beach hotels in Cabo San Lucas are a wonderful choice if you love relaxed days at the beach and gorgeous sunsets. One of the most beautiful beach club in San Lucas is Nikki Beach. If you are addicted to beach hotels and you like the Nikki Beach in Miami, you will also have a good time at the hotel Me Cabo. Even though the view is beautiful and the rooms are quiet convenient, for me personally, the hotel Me Cabo in San Lucasis not the best place to spend holidays. If I would come back to Los Cabos, I would rather choose one of the other Cabo San Lucas Resorts. But if you are in Cabo San Lucas, you should definitely visit the Nikki Beach club. Nikki Beach Cabo San Lucas is known as one of the most luxurious locations for beach parties in the world. You can expect good music on the pool all day long and great drinks at the bar. On every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, there are live DJ´s, who heat up the cheerful atmosphere. I promise, sometimes you can even see some celebrities there( for example Kardashians). In the evening, the party continues in the night club, which is known as the Passion Club. If you´re getting hungry of dancing all the time and trying to catch a millionaire, I can highly recommend the restaurant at the pool. You should try the sashimi plate there, it´s really delicious!
Dreams Los Cabos Suites Golf Resort & Spa
Location: Located in San Jose del Cabo, this beachfront property is next to a golf course and within 3 mi (5 km) of Baja California Peninsula, Cabo del Sol, and Chileno Beach. Desert Park Natural Reserve and Cuadra San Francisco are also within 10 minutes.
Food: There are 4 a la cartes- Bordeaux - French. Seaside grill steak, Oceana - seafood,Portofino Italian
We loved the French it was our favourite we went twice- it’s formal dress code and adults only . Most of the restaurants are closed at 10pm. We ate at all of the a la carte restaurants for dinner and all were exceptional for food including bordeaux. The buffet at this resort is the smallest we have encountered at a 4.5-5 star however, the ability to choose to eat outside for breakfast and lunch with spectacular views is a huge pro in this hotel's favour. We were fortunate to view whales cresting the water two mornings while enjoying a mimosa during breakfast - an amazing way to start a day's vacation.
We cannot imagine how busy this smaller buffet would be at spring break or other peak times of year, but it was great for low capacity May. Lunch at Oceana one day was exceptional also as an alternative to buffet or poolside menu. Coco Cafe is convenient for a quick bite and espresso.
Rooms: Very clean, excellent friendly housekeeping and no issues with our safe or locks, water, etc. This resort however, is extremely thin walled so bring noise cancellation earphones if you are a light sleeper such as i am. We were on the quieter side facing the adults only pool, but you can at times hear voices and noise from adjoining rooms.
Pool and beach: perfect main pool for those of us with children and stunning beach and views, although yes not mayan/cancun beach and unable to swim, but cannot fault the hotel as guests know this in advance of Cabo and are prepared that their children will be doing pool swimming for their vacation. My husband ran the beach every day to get in some training and it felt safer than a lot of areas in the mayan and even Jamaica in past. A bit more of a workout to walk/run on this type of sand however as it is a bit more course but still a beautiful expanse of beach in either direction and very safe location. My husband and 10 year old son also played a fair amount of beach volleyball during our stay as there is one court on the beach for guest use and lots of cabanas for a smaller resort for spectators.
Construction and Kids Club: Construction noise was kept to a minimum: scarcely noticed it at all even during breakfast at buffet outdoors while work going on. Kids club had fewer activities and a bit more dated than most resorts we have attended, but the staff are above and beyond great with children.
There are activities at the hotel like ping pong, yoga, zumba, and the activities group works super hard to get people involved and have fun. We took Uber when we went on excursions. All drivers were very safe, the cars clean and newer, and felt very safe traveling this way.
Reservations are required for golf tee times, massage services, and spa treatments.
Also i would recommend a trip down to the marina in Cabo SAN Lucas - shopping restaurants and flea market there :)

just recorded what the road looked like because I'm fascinated by the desert and mountains, being that I live on Long Island, I don't see much of it.
East Cape Baja Adventure: Snorkeling Cabo Pulmo & Waterfall at Canon De La Zorra (Travel Vlog) Ep.12
We explore some of the best things to do on the East Cape of Baja California between Cabo San Lucas and La Paz. We camp at Canon de la Zorra and snorkel in the Cabo Pulmo Marine Reserve.
Camping at Los Arbolitos, Cabo Pulmo was perfect. Los Arbolitos is one of the only places to access the Cabo Pulmo reef without a boat.
After all our fun it was time to catch the ferry from Baja California to Mainland Mexico with Baja Ferries. While waiting for our departure we checked out the La Paz Malecon.

BAJA CALIFORNIA ROAD TRIP | Can’t believe this is Mexico | Camino Cabo Este | Mexico Travel Vlog
❤️ IN THIS VLOG:
In this travel vlog we still have the car and we've decided to drive the very famous CAMINO CABO ESTE, a road going east from San Jose del Cabo to a nature reserve called Cabo Pulmo. Now, we only had a small rental car and the road is mainly just a bumpy dirt road more suitable for bigger vehicles, like jeeps.
It had also just recently rained very badly and we were warned the roads would be even worse than normal but stubborn as we are, we decided to give it a try. We could just turn around if the roads got too bad.
In case you missed our last vlog in which we rented a car and took you around to some of Los Cabos most beautiful beaches here is the link to that vlog:

Ten Things You Didn’t Know About Los Cabos and BCS | Cabos Finest | Cabo San Lucas Real Estate
10 things you didn’t know about Los Cabos and Baja California Sur.
#1 Land’s End is not the southern most point.
Yes the iconic arch is a beautiful symbol of the southern tip. It is not however the southern most point. That distinction goes to Cabo Falso a few miles west and a smidge more south. That is the point where the Pacific begins at the old Lighthouse. This was the first permanent structure built in 1905. It was decommissioned when the new lighthouse was built on the top of the mountain. The old lighthouse has been surrounded by the Quivira golf course to the disappointment of the local history buffs. It was once a favorite area for ATV tours.
#2 Our state has the most beaches in Mexico.
The beaches in Baja California Sur are amazing and very clean due to the remoteness and the prevailing ocean currents. To the south of Cabo you will have to go 12,863 km or just under 8,000 miles until you reach land in Antarctica. So do not swim south. To the west is Hawaii 4718 km or about 3,000 miles. The state coastline measures 2230 km just under 1400 miles. That makes it Mexico’s longest with 22% of the total. It also has the most islands, predominately in the Gulf of California. Side note our Sea of Cortez has a Nickname- El Acuario Del Mundo (The aquarium of the world.) Mexicans prefer to call the Sea of Cortez el Golfo de California due to the nasty, murderous reputation of Hernán Cortés
#3 BCS is the least crowded state in Mexico.
With all the new hotels and developments popping up all over the place one could mistakenly think we are getting crowded. Especially on Medano Beach during Spring Break. But BCS has the lowest population of any state in Mexico and a huge amount of land with 73,909 km2 (28,536 sq mi) and less than 1 million inhabitants. Another reason to rent a Jeep and go adventuring.
#4 We are the newest state in Mexico.
Baja California Sur is the newest state admitted into Mexico October 8, 1974. Prior known as El Territorio Sur de Baja California (Southern Territory of Baja.) We were similar to the territory of Puerto Rico to the USA, except we received better aid and respect from our sovereign nation. The year 1974 was a big deal as that was when Highway 1 was completed and the year the San Lucas Marina was opened.
#5 We own the luxury category for resorts.
We have 4 of the top 100 resorts in the world according to Condé Nast and have the highest average hotel rates in Mexico at $300 a night, plus a heavy hotel tax of 13% plus the IVA of 16% OUCH! But that higher cost and level of luxury gives us an unique experience and highest quality of restaurants, yacht charters, activities, tours and infrastructure. You don’t have to stay in the top four luxury resorts to have an amazing stay as there are a wide range of great properties in every price category.
#6 We have beautiful mountains.
People know us for our ample supply of clean beaches, the bio diversity of our waters, the epic fishing and the world class golfing. Most don’t know us for our amazing mountain ranges. These mountains are up to 2,080 m (6,820 ft)in the Sierra de la Lagunas. There are many waterfalls, hot springs and swimming holes in which to choose. So on your next visit be sure to explore the mountain towns of Miraflores, Santiago, el Triunfo and Aqua Calientes. The name means The lakes of the sierras but that is due to the ancient lake beds high up in the mountain range. Today there are no natural lakes.
#7 Los Cabo’s is exploding in growth.
You may know there are new hotels by the looks of the numerous cranes up and down the corridor. What you didn’t know is that there are 20+ major developments currently underway within Los Cabos. The international jet setters have discovered just how wonderful we have it here on our desert by the sea. The big boy luxury companies are ‘all in’ with some massive plans. Names like Montage, Ritz Carlton Reserve, The Luxury Collection at Solaz, St Regis Los Cabos, Cesar’s Palace, Nobu Hotel, Hard Rock, Aman Resorts, Park Hyatt and two separate Four Seasons
are either in construction or being planned. If you are missing the simple ways of the old Cabo don’t despair all you need to do is rent a Jeep and head out to Cerritos, Cabo Pulmo, Ventanas or Pescadero. There are plenty of wonderful boutique hotel options all over the southern tip so remember you have options.
#8 Most everyone in Los Cabos is from somewhere else.
Cabo San Lucas used to be a small, sleepy fishing village of a few thousand lucky souls. Today there are people from all over the world living and working in Los Cabos. If you are over 25 years old you are most likely from somewhere else. In our neighborhood alone we have friends from Italy, Britain, Spain, Poland, Columbia, Chile, Brazil and of course Canada, USA and Mexicans from all over Mexico. You never know which language will be spoken at the pool. Fortunately for us most speak decent English. Side note- this diversity brings a great wealth and variety of restaurants.
