As time passes, what endures are the moments that moved your soul or altered your mind, that's why I tried to create something that would encourage reverie… and this rock, that is connected to the Port of this unique city in the middle of Atlantic Ocean, that was once a small island and the home of Gonçalves Zarco, an old Portuguese sea navigator and colonizer of the Archipelago of Madeira, brings into my inner being all that has to do with my dream life…

The well known designer Nini Andrade Silva opens her first Design Centre, located in Madeira, the Portuguese Island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean!
The Design Centre Nini Andrade Silva is a place of meeting and sharing – a laboratory of ideas – with an eclectic collection of services and spaces, such as the permanent exhibition, a store, a cafeteria and a signature restaurant of the awarded chef, Miguel Laffan.

Se não pensarmos livremente, se não pensarmos de modo diferente, nunca conseguimos evoluir. Nini Andrade Silva é uma das mais prestigiadas designers de interiores do mundo. Nascida no Funchal, Nini formou-se em Design no Instituto de Artes Visuais, Design e Marketing (IADE), em Lisboa, tendo prosseguido em simultâneo o seu percurso académico e profissional em Nova Iorque, Londres, Paris, África do Sul ou Dinamarca. Contando com uma impressionante obra além-fronteiras, Nini viu o seu trabalho a ser distinguido por várias instituições, bem como tornar-se presença assídua em prestigiadas publicações de todo o Mundo, tais como: The New York Times, Financial Times, El Pais, Wallpaper, Condé Nast Traveller, Sleeper Magazine, Harrods, Architectural Digest, Andrew Martin’s World Leading Guides, Rolls Royce, Excelence Guide, entre tantas outras. Paralelamente à sua reconhecida carreira na área da arquitectura e design de interiores, Nini é também autora de diferentes linhas de mobiliário e, da versatilidade da sua obra, destaca-se ainda a sua grande paixão pela pintura. Nini Andrade Silva is one of the most prestigious interior designers in the world. Born in Funchal, Nini graduated in Design at the Institute of Visual Arts, Design and Marketing (IADE) in Lisbon, and simultaneously pursued her academic and professional experience abroad, where she studied and worked in New York, London, Paris, South Africa and Denmark. Her work has international recognition, having put the name of Portugal alongside the biggest and best designers in the world, being the creative mind behind multiple hotels members from the Design HotelsTM chain. With an impressive work across the world, Nini have seen several times her work distinguished and becoming a constant presence in prestigious publications worldwide. Nini is also an international consultant for IADE, thus integrating the panel of guest lecturers to the School of Design, and received IADE CAREER AWARD 2010.
