Shrimat Saumyendra Nath Brahmachary - THE ETERNAL TRAVELLER

Shrimat Saumyendra Nath Brahmachary (1946-2012) former Acharya of Dev Sangha, Deoghar (state of Jharkhand, India) was a spiritual leader with a marked difference. A brilliant technocrat, a B.C. Roy Gold Medalist from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, he left a highly successful corporate career to choose a spiritual life at the young age of 32. An eloquent speaker with an abiding sense of humour, he presented the wisdom of the ancient Indian sages in the language of the modern man. A pathfinder in education, a social reformer and above all, an abundant lover of humanity, he attracted and inspired all who came close to him. His life and messages remain a glowing synthesis of the East and the West, Science and Spirituality, the past and the present, and covers all dimensions of our pursuits in life. Inspired by his ideals Ritachhanda was created under the umbrella of SNB Foundation (snbfoundation.com) to transmit the ancient heritage of India in the fields of Arts, Music and Culture to our present generation. This Docu-Feature 'Alor Pathoyatri' (The Eternal Traveller) is a tribute to the Acharya that portrays his myriad moods and facets of personality along with some of his cardinal messages as relevant to modern times. Convergence, not conversion
In the foreword of the book Satyanusaran Anukulchandra writes The degeneration of humanity began at that moment when the unseen God was made infinite and, ignoring the seers, the worship of their sayings began. Oh mankind! If you desire to invoke your good, forget sectarian conflict. Be regardful to all the past prophets. Be attached to your living master or God and take only those who love Him as your own. Because all the past prophets are consummated in the divine man of the present.[58] Anukulchandra did not accept anyone as his disciple if he or she wanted to change his or her faith. According to Ramesh Nagaraj Rao, Anukulchandra advocated that people of all faith could come together and strengthen communal harmony.[59] Ray Hauserman, one of his American devotees, wrote a book Commitment to a Christian Renewal: Conversations with an Indian Sage which describes Anukulchandra's convergence philosophy in the West.[60][61]

Naba Durga Mandir is a temple dedicated to Nine Avatars of Devi Durga at Dev Sangha Ashram. It is located at Bompas Town Deoghar, Jharkhand. The reigning deity of Naba Durga Mandir is Goddess Hemavati. The temple has a beautiful sanctorum with idols of Lord Shiva, Goddess Saraswati, Goddess Annapurna Brahmarshi Satyadev among many others.

Mohan Bhagwat ji came in Kurta Pajama. When Satsang representative Shivanand Prasad etc. met him who all wearing dhoti and half kurta, he was v. much impressed and loved it.

Inspired by the unique attire, he himself expressed if one set of such attire can be made available for him.

Immediately, one set was arranged for him and taken to VIP guest house where room was alloted for his rest.

Satsang people helped him to wear the dhoti. He went to see Acharyadeva on this dress..... gifted him a coconut.... spoken in Bengali...... everyone astonished that he speaks Bengali so good!

Responding to the question of Babaida that how he speaks Bengali he replied that he worked in Kolkata as a Sangha organizer for 4 yrears during which he picked up the language.

He expressed that he had no idea about Satsang and now happy to see and know about the organization.

Later he was served food in his room in 'Kansar Thala' and 'kansar bowl'water served in 'kansar glass'

In today's India, Sri Mohan Bhagwat is one of the most important, powerful and respected person.

He is respected by even President and Prime Minister of India. Visit of such an important personality and meeting with Parampujyapa Acharyadev has great significance.
