A look INSIDE the Devil's Kettle!
Ever wondered what was inside the Devil's Kettle? A couple of logs apparently... I stress, do not try this unless if you know what you are doing! Sorry about the vertical shot part too, I had to re-position myself.
Hiking Grand Portage State Park and Devils Kettle in Minnesota
Hiking Grand Portage State Park in Minnesota's northshore for a family hiking adventure. Our first stop was Grand Portage State Park then on to Judge Magney State Park and the Devils Kettle. Hiking in the misty rain in October was less than ideal. But any hiking to see fall colors is worth it regardless of the weather.

I visit Devil's Kettle falls in Minnesota, USA. There is a waterfall that goes down a hole, but nobody knows where it ends up.

A second look inside the Devil's Kettle
Finally made it back to the Devil's Kettle on the Brule River in northern Minnesota. Located in Judge C.R. Magney State Park, this waterfall is one of the strangest waterfalls in the world. The Brule River splits into two streams; one behaves normally and falls into the river below. The other falls into a glacial kettle (hole in the rock) and is never seen again. Many theories and experiments have yielded no results and the mystery persists.

I pulled the description from wiki. Judge C. R. Magney State Park is a state park of Minnesota, USA, on the North Shore of Lake Superior. It was named for Clarence R. Magney, a former mayor of Duluth and judge on the Minnesota Supreme Court, who was instrumental in getting 11 state parks and scenic waysides established along the North Shore.[2] The park is best known for the Devil's Kettle, an unusual waterfall and rock formation in which half of the Brule River disappears into a pothole. The park is best known for The Devil's Kettle, an unusual waterfall located on the Brule River 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from its mouth.[4] The river splits in two to flow around a mass of rhyolite rock. The eastern flow goes over a two-step, 50-foot (15 m) waterfall and continues downstream.[2] The western flow surges into a pothole, falling at least 10 feet (3.0 m), and disappears underground.[11] Visitors have reputedly dropped sticks, ping pong balls, and GPS trackers into the Devil's Kettle without seeing them resurface downstream.[12] There is even a legend that someone pushed a car into the fissure, but given that the Devil's Kettle is wholly inaccessible by road, most commentators dismiss this as hyperbole.[5] These stories led to speculation that the channel had a separate outlet into Lake Superior, or more implausibly plunged deep underground or connected to another watershed entirely.

Ten: Lake, Oregon
During the rainy season, Oregon's Lake seems just like your average lake. But each summer it mysteriously vanishes & turns into a meadow, with no trace of water ever having been present. Studies have revealed that Oregon's volcanic landscape has the perfect condition for underground lava tubes to form. Lava hardens near the surface but continues flowing downward at the same time. Water slowly drains from the lake through these tubes. When there's frequent rain, there's enough water to keep the lake filled & the slow draining goes unnoticed. But when the rain stops falling it becomes evident that water is draining into the abyss below.
Nine: Lake Cachet II, Chile
Lake Cachet II in Chilean Patagonia is two square miles & dammed by the Colonia glacier. Several times a year, this lake completely vanishes overnight, which puzzled scientists for years. Recently, the mystery was finally revealed—the lake's disappearance is related to a rise in temperature. When temperatures rise, the glacier becomes weaker & small holes form. The water from Lake Cachet II flows through these holes & into the Baker River.
Eight: Chandipur Beach, India
Chandipur Beach in Eastern India is one of the most spectacular natural phenomenons in the world. For visitors who go off the path, this lesser-known beach offers a one-of-a-kind spectacle. During ebb tide, the period between high tide & low tide, the ocean recedes up to five kilometers from the shore. This phenomenon happens twice a day & gives people the opportunity to literally walk out onto the sea.
Seven: Greenland
Greenland has not just one, but many large lakes that frequently vanish during the summer months, often within a 24-hour time period & at the impressive rate of Niagara Falls. In 2006, North Lake, with a size of 2.2 square miles & nearly 12 billion gallons of water, suddenly vanished within two hours. Because of Greenland's cold climate, the lakes contain a layer of ice in between the water & the bedrock.
Six: Lake Beloye, Russia
In May of 2005, local fishermen in Vologda Oblast, Russia began their day just like every other day—going to Lake Beloye to begin their day of work. Lake Beloye had literally vanished overnight, leaving both scientists & locals baffled. According to experts, the region's landscape is ideal for the formation of caves.
Five: Lake George, Australia
Australia's Lake George has a tendency to suddenly vanish, seemingly without reason. Scientists believe that the lake fills because the ground below is saturated with water. Even when the lake doesn't completely vanish, the water levels frequently change in an unpredictable way. Experts believe that Lake George's water levels are the result of rainfall & drought. Strangely, the lake's salt concentration is almost as high as the ocean's, making it the saltiest inland body of water in New South Wales.
Four: Scott Lake, Florida
The upscale community of Carol City, Florida was dumbfounded when their community lake unexpectedly vanished within a week & a half. Many residents who’d purchased waterfront property in the exclusive & upscale Scott Lake neighborhood now had nothing but a giant mud puddle to look onto. In just ten days this 285-acre lake decreased to nothing.
Three: Lake Waiau, Hawaii
Lake Waiau, located on the summit of Mauna Kea on Hawaii's Big Island, is the third-highest lake in the United States. Nobody is really sure why the lake exists. It's not connected to any lakes or rivers. This lake holds a very significant meaning in Hawaiian culture & is believed to be related to the Hawaiian, Kane—considered the highest of the major Hawaiian deities & associated with procreation. The water from Lake Waiau has often been used in practices of healing & worship.
Two: Antarctica
Antarctic Bottom Water is a cold, dense water that forms around some parts of Antarctica. When ice forms, it leaves salt behind in the water. This & the cold Antarctic air create dense, freezing cold water. Because of its density, it sinks to the bottom of the ocean where it travels North & mixes with water all over our planet Unsurprisingly, scientists have found that the temperature of Antarctic Bottom Water is increasing.
One: Devil's Kettle Falls, Minnesota
Along Lake Superior's North shore in Minnesota a mysterious waterfall exists—Devil's Kettle Falls. The waterfall splits in two directions: one side is just your average waterfall, but on the other side water vanishes into a deep hole & appears to disappear forever. For years, the mystery of the water puzzled scientists & citizens alike & they would put various items into the waterfall to see where they could possibly end up.
High Falls, Grand Portage State Park, Minnesota (Trip 2 Vid 13) United States
Grand Portage State Park is located right next to the Canadian border in northern Minnesota on Highway 61 on the North Shore of Lake Superior. High Falls is the highest waterfall in the state of Minnesota that is partially in the state, the other half is in Canada. It is a really beautiful waterfall.
This river is the second Devil Kettle.
You will hear about the holy rivers Ganges Jamuna Saraswati. But only the Ganges Jamuna is seen. On reaching this place, the Saraswati river becomes confidential. This place is also near Manna village of Bhimpur in Uttarakhand in front of Badrinath. This is where Vyas ji wrote the Mahabharata but in the noise of the flow of the Saraswati river, Ganesha could not hear them. Therefore, Vyas ji cursed him and he disappeared inside the earth. It is interesting that here you can see the Saraswati river disappearing. You also look and show your next generation too? Radharman Hari speaking?
The present philosophy is Saraswati ji?
