Devkop Lake, Palghar
The picturesque Devkop lake near Palghar. Not far from Palghar town, it s a peaceful weekend getaway. I am lucky enough to stay at a distance of just 5 kms from this place. A 5 minute drive from my home to this place. :)
As for the Video, this one has been captured using an Omnia HD. It's on the older Italian firmware and the quality an't up to the mark-- but still, good enough for a phone considering there isn't any other mobile phone that can do this as of now.

Shirgaon Fort - Palghar ...MAHARASTRA
Amongst the less well known forts of Maharashtra, is the Shirgoan Fort. It is located in Shirgoan Village, at a distance of 13 km from Palghar. This sea facing fort was strategically constructed by Portuguese rulers to guard over enemies approaching from Arabian Sea. The fort was later captured by Maratha Rulers headed by Shivaji Maharaj and was further taken over by British. Shirgoan Fort is 200 ft tall, 150 ft. wide and is built in red stone. Nearby is the Shirgoan Beach, which is a major fishing centre of Maharashtra. Lined with palm trees, the beach serves as a popular recreational spot for Mumbaikars and other tourists.

Kohoj Trek (1918 ft)
Very few forts, to the north of Mumbai in Palghar region of Thane district, are still showing their existence, among which is the fort of Kohoj. This Fort is on the Manor Wada Road, which can be identified easily with its twin pinnacles on top. Out of which one has a unique feature of Man Like shape standing 10mts in height. Plenty of Water Cisterns, Temples with ruined Fortification made little lively environment. The temples are made recently which has those old sculptures/idols of God.
