Lots of miniature trains! The Diamond Valley Railway
The Diamond Valley Railway at the Eltham Lower Park is one of Victoria's finest miniature railways. The 7¼ inch gauge railway features a 2km circuit with different loops, bridges and tunnels and lots of scenery!
In this video we take a look around this wonderful miniature railway. On this particular day the railway has hosting a private running day for members and invited guests as part of the railway's 58th birthday celebrations. As a result we get heaps of trackside views around the railway members of the general public wouldn't normally be able to see.
Miniature trains seen include a Victorian Railways S & T Class diesel locomotives, a V/Line G Glass, A NSWGR 81 Class, Australian National CL & BL Class locomotives, a Rio Grande class K-36 steam locomotive, a Victorian Railways N/A Class steam locomotive, and more!
The Diamond Valley Railway is open to the public every Sunday from 11am - 5pm, with rides costing $3.

An afternoon at the Diamond Valley Railway
The Diamond Valley Railway in Eltham is one of the largest miniature railways in Victoria; with over 2km of 7¼ inch gauge track. As part of the railway's 57th birthday celebrations a private playday was held for members and visitors on the 26th October 2018, which provides an opportunity to run trains on the railway without carrying members of the general public.
In this video we see a couple of scenes on the railway recorded in the afternoon.

A day at Diamond valley railway (02/09/2018)
On the 2nd of September 2018 a member invited me to go and have a look all around the diamond valley miniature railway in Eltham Melbourne Victoria and since I was doing this I had a wide opportunity to film trains I wouldn't be able to go into if I wasn't a member. We see a wide variety of trains such as CL Class, 81 Class and more and even fictional locomotives.
Those of you that don't know what diamond valley railway is it's a miniature railway in eltham victoria australia it operates every sunday from 11-5 pm.

In the video we see a train hauled by Tom Thumb heading into the long tunnel, its train is being pushed along by 8172 which is hauling a train carrying the local Diamond Valley Brass Band who can be heard performing as the trains travel along!

184 mm (7& 1/4 inch) gauge railway is located in parkland in the suburb of Eltham close to the Diamond Creek, from which it gets its name. It began in this location in 1959, after the closure of the Chelsworth Park Railway.

A day at the Diamond Valley Railway
In this video we spend a day at the Diamond Valley Railway, one of Victoria's largest miniature railways located at Eltham Lower Park in Eltham. This was recorded on a private running day to celebrate the railways 53rd anniversary on Saturday 25th October 2014. As a result we see a variety of different steam, diesel and electric trains including a couple of visiting trains.
The railway consists of two loops, an inner and outer loop which are both connected to the main station & interlocking. The main line is around 2km long with 7 1/4 inch gauge track. A full ride of the railway is usually about 15 minutes long.

Former Dobwalls Centennial at the Diamond Valley Railway
On Wednesday September 16th 2015 the Union Pacific Centennial loco that for many years ran at the Dobwalls railway in England was delivered to the Diamond Valley Railway in Eltham, Victoria, Australia.
The engine was taken around the railway once by owner Colin Rees to test the clearances and is seen exiting the long tunnel and powering up grade.

On Sunday the 26th of October 2014, Diamond Valley Railway celebrated their 53rd Birthday with Public running. In this video, we see trains running around the 2km 7 1/4 gauge railway in Eltham lower park with a few visiting engines running. Enjoy!

The railway consists of a 2 km long mainline with bridges and tunnels, and has a track gauge of 184 mm, or 7 1/4 inch, with the steepest grade being a 1 in 40 ( 2.2% ).
