In keeping ‘Dief the Chief’s’ memory alive, the iconic Diefenbaker House and Museum commemorates the life of the 13th Prime Minister of Canada. Built in 1912, the home was purchased by Diefenbaker and his first wife Edna in 1947.

Cultural Music Video Showcases Downtown Prince Albert
It was a celebration of everything local at the Rock Trout Cafe for the launch of a unique cultural music video
The City of Prince Albert partnered with a local singer/songwriter LJ Tyson to pen an original song titled Locals and record a video to visually represent downtown.
The teams hope the video will engage residents to check out local institutions and urge those passing through to stop in.
The video includes some of Prince Alberts foremost locations like the Mann Art Gallery and Historical Museum.

Wilfrid Laurier
Sir Henri Charles Wilfrid Laurier, GCMG, PC, KC,, known as Wilfrid Laurier, was the seventh Prime Minister of Canada, in office from 11 July 1896 to 6 October 1911.
Canada's first francophone prime minister, Laurier is often considered one of the country's greatest statesmen. He is well known for his policies of conciliation, expanding Confederation, and compromise between French and English Canada. His vision for Canada was a land of individual liberty and decentralized federalism. He also argued for an English-French partnership in Canada. I have had before me as a pillar of fire, he said, a policy of true Canadianism, of moderation, of reconciliation. He passionately defended individual liberty, Canada is free and freedom is its nationality, and Nothing will prevent me from continuing my task of preserving at all cost our civil liberty. Laurier was also well-regarded for his efforts to establish Canada as an autonomous country within the British Empire, and he supported the continuation of the Empire if it was based on absolute liberty political and commercial.

Saskatchewan
Saskatchewan (/səˈskætʃəwən/ or /səˈskætʃəˌwɑːn/) is a prairie province in Canada, which has a total area of 651,900 square kilometres (251,700 sq mi) and a land area of 592,534 square kilometres (228,800 sq mi), the remainder being water area (covered by lakes/ponds, reservoirs and rivers). Saskatchewan is bordered on the west by the Province of Alberta, on the north by the Northwest Territories, on the east by Manitoba, and on the south by the U.S. states of Montana and North Dakota. As of December 2013, the population of Saskatchewan was estimated at 1,114,170. Residents primarily live in the southern half of the province. Of the total population, 257,300 live in the province's largest city, Saskatoon, while 210,000 live in the provincial capital, Regina. Other major cities include Prince Albert, Moose Jaw, Yorkton, Swift Current and North Battleford.
Saskatchewan was first explored by Europeans in 1690 and settled in 1774, having also been inhabited for thousands of years by various indigenous groups. It became a province in 1905, its name derived from the Saskatchewan River. The river was known as kisiskāciwani-sīpiy (swift flowing river) in the Cree language. In the early 20th century the province became known as a stronghold for Canadian democratic socialism. Tommy Douglas, who was premier from 1944 to 1961, became the first social-democratic politician to be elected in North America. The province's economy is based on agriculture, mining, and energy. Saskatchewan's current premier is Brad Wall and its lieutenant-governor is Vaughn Solomon Schofield.

1. The Lido Theatre: The Lido Theatre was originally built by a businessman C.C. Brooks, this theatre was opened in year 1957, ushering in the 45 years of classic films showing up on big screen.
It was till 2002 when doors of this theatre were closed and new Landmark Cinema was opened in Fort St. John. The Lido was rebuilt and reopened by a local entrepreneur Brian Kirschner.
2. Pomeroy Sport Centre: Newest recreation complex in Fort St. John is the Pomeroy Sport Centre, it is a very beautiful sport event centre and an ice facility is also available here.
This sport centre has been especially designed to create a long lasting legacy which helps to shape up the future of Energetic City for many more years to come.
It is best a centre of excellence for sports, promotes personal and community wellness, and offers an attractive venue for the events that appeal to a huge range of interests.
First floor of this facility has a public meeting room, 12 dressing rooms, skate sharpening vendor, a concession and 2 NHL sized ice rinks.
3. Fort St. John North Peace Museum: North Peace Historical Society and Fort St. John North Peace Museum connect visitors and residents of all ages to the communities and history of North Peace River of British Columbia.
This museum is a centre point to welcome where history of Fort St. John is being kept alive through the exhibition, management and preservation of collection, events and educational programs.
4. North Peace Cultural Centre: North Peace Cultural Centre has been hub of community and arts in Fort St. John since this centre opened its doors in June 1992.
This Cultural Centre offers a huge range of services and is an important place of meeting variety of community conferences, seminars and events.
This is a non-profit organization which relies on donations from community to thrive and are being governed by North Peace Cultural Society. It s one of the best Tourist Places in Fort St. John, British Columbia.
5. Charlie Lake Provincial Park: Charlie Lake Provincial Park is located on southwestern shore of around13 km long Charlie Lake. This park covers around 92 hectares and lies within rolling landscape of Interior Plains.
