Breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea
The cliffs propose a majestic sight, particularly if viewed from a boat while cruising, but also from the top - the views are breathtaking, overlooking the small terraced fields below, the open sea, and Filfla, the small uninhabited island just across. The cliffs can be seen as natural forts, since no attacker can approach the island from the West given their impressive height.

Our first full day in Malta, we visited Mdina (The Silent City), Dingli Cliffs and San Anton Gardens.

Dingli Cliffs - Girgenti - Fawwara
Starting at Dingli Cliffs, we hike north from Wardija ta' San Ġorġ and descend along the secondary road through Girgenti Valley. We proceed eastward and around the Ġebel Ciantar plateau to Fawwara. At Fawwara, we pass by the churches dedicated to the Annunciation and Our Lady of Carmel. We return to Dingli Cliffs along Fawwara, climbing the zig-zag footpath back to Wardija ta' San Ġorġ under the watchful gaze of the islet of Filfla, all along the way. We arrive at St. Mary Magdalen Chapel, where the activities organised by Fridericus Rex Malta Falconers related to the World Falconry Day, have commenced.
Dingli cliffs-Malta
The cliffs stretch for a few kilometres. Some edges are sharp with a flat cliff face and an occasional cavern. Other cliffs descend in a sloping terrain to the water. This particular segment of the cliffs exhibits all the geological layers of Malta’s sedimentary rock, sloping one on top of the other. In spite of the harsh terrain on narrow contours, agriculture has taken place for several centruries and halted only when in fear of pirate assaults.

Breathtaking vista of Dingli Cliffs Malta-natural beauty
MALTA MDINA - Game of Thrones, Drone flight, Citadel and Dingli cliffs
ORANGE - Its a very cold and stormy winter in Scotland and to celebrate our 13th Country of the year we decide to escape to Malta & Gozo for some lovely sunshine, warm people and some culture.
We spend the day getting lost AF in the old city of Mdina, I finally get my first drone flight in! We also visit the citadel/ Cathedral and then the breath taking Dinli Cliffs, The sun is our yet there are christmas trees and decorations all around us, its a strange yet wonderful sensation. The small creeping streets remind us of so many of the countries we have visited this year and its a great way to finish the year off.
