Five killed in road accident in northern China
Five people were killed and three others were injured Sunday in a road accident in China's northern Hebei Province, according to local authorities. The accident happened at 10:24 a.m. at a rural crossroad in the city of Dingzhou. A passenger bus making a left turn crashed into stalls by the road and then hit an off-road vehicle and electric tricycle, according to police. The bus driver was taken into custody for questioning.

China High Speed Train experience: BeijingXi to Shijiazhuang
This is a short trip from Beijing to Shijiazhuang on China's high speed train, it was shot during the summer time in 2017, the journey travelled across some Hebei's cities, Zhuozhou, Gaobeidian, Baoding, Dingzhou, and ended at Shijiazhuang train station, this 300KM trip took about one hour and twenty minutes.

Bajiquan is a Chinese martial art that features explosive, short-range power and is famous for its elbow and shoulder strikes. It originated in the Hebei Province in Northern China
Baji quan was originally called bazi quan (巴子拳 or 鈀子拳) or rake fist because the fists, held loosely and slightly open, are used to strike downwards in a rake-like fashion. The name was considered to be rather crude in its native tongue, so it was changed to baji quan. The term baji comes from the Chinese classic, the Yijing (I-Ching), and signifies an extension of all directions. In this case, it means including everything or the universe
Baji quan opens the opponent's arms forcibly (qiang kai men 强開門) and mount attacks at high, mid, and low levels of the body (san pan lian ji 三盤連擊). It is most useful in close combat, as it focuses on elbow, knee, shoulder and hip strikes. When blocking an attack or nearing an opponent, baji quan techniques emphasize striking major points of vulnerability, namely the thorax (trunk of the body), legs and neck.
The major features of baji include elbow strikes, arm/fist punches, hip checks and strikes with the shoulder. All techniques are executed with a short power, developed through training; among Chinese martial artists, baji is known for its fast movements. Baji focuses on infighting, entering from a longer range with a distinctive charging step (zhen jiao).
The essence of baji quan lies in jin, or power-issuing methods, particularly fa jing (explosive power). The style contains six types of jin, eight different ways to hit and several principles of power usage. Most of baji quan's moves utilize a one-hit push-strike method from very close range. The bulk of the damage is dealt through the momentary acceleration that travels up from the waist to the limb and further magnified by the charging step known as zhen jiao.
The mechanics of jin are developed through many years of practice and baji quan is known for its strenuous lower-body training and its emphasis on the horse stance. Its horse stance is higher than that of typical Long Fist styles. Like other styles, there is also the arrow-bow stance, the one-leg stance, the empty stance (xūbù 虚步), the drop stance (pūbù 仆步), etc. There are eight different hand poses, in addition to different types of breathing and zhen jiao.

Beijing Holding APEC, Chief Nurse Arrested in Henan
On Nov. 3, 52-year old Falun Gong practitioner Pan Yinjuan
was illegally arrested at work.
Police from Hongmen Police station, Xinxiang City,
Henan Province came to make the arrest.
Pan Yinjuan is the chief nurse at Xinxiang Medical College
Third Affiliated Hospital.
The reason for the arrest was that Beijing is holding the
Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit (APEC).
According to U.S. minghui.org, the police also broke into
Pan Yinjuan’s house.
They took away keys, bank deposits, notes, ID, electronics
e.g. computers, tablet computers, mobiles and printers.
Guangdong Police Killed Motorcycle Rider, The
Family Protested
On Nov. 5, a motorcycle rider from Yongtan New Village of
Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province was killed by a traffic
policeman for not stopping when the traffic policeman
signaled for him to stop.
The driver was killed with three shots.
His family protested and blocked the road holding banners,
causing hundreds of people stop and watch.
Many policemen with police batons and shields went on site.
Four Hundred Workers Went On Strike To Protest At
No Compensation For Layoffs
On Nov.5, over 400 employees of Xuzhou Department Store
Co., Ltd in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province went on strike.
The protested against Yurun Group laying off many staff
without compensation after it acquired the company.
Property Owners in Hebei Province Protested Against
Forceful Collection of Heating Fees
On Nov. 5, nearly 1,000 home owners from Dingzhou City,
Hebei Province gathered at the government compound.
They were protesting against authorities’ forced collection
of heating fees and the high price of heating.
The protest ended in success.
The authorities hung up a notice, stating: “Canceled Heating
Fees and Lower Heating Prices.”

Hebei (河北; alternately Hopeh) is a province of China in the North China region. The modern province was established in 1911 as Chihli Province (Zhili Province). Its capital and largest city is Shijiazhuang. Its one-character abbreviation is 冀 (Jì), named after Ji Province, a Han dynasty province (zhou) that included what is now southern Hebei. The name Hebei literally means north of the river, referring to its location entirely to the north of the Yellow River.The modern province Chili Province was formed in 1911, when the central government dissolved the central governed area of Chihli, which means Directly Ruled (by the Imperial Court) until it was renamed as Hebei in 1928. A common alternate name for Hebei is Yānzhào (燕趙), after the state of Yan and state of Zhao that existed here during the Warring States period of early Chinese history.
Beijing and Tianjin Municipalities, which border each other, were carved out of Hebei. The province borders Liaoning to the northeast, Inner Mongolia to the north, Shanxi to the west, Henan to the south, and Shandong to the southeast. Bohai Bay of the Bohai Sea is to the east. A small part of Hebei, Sanhe Exclave, consisting of Sanhe, Dachang Hui Autonomous County, and Xianghe County, an exclave disjointed from the rest of the province, is wedged between the municipalities of Beijing and Tianjin.
With a population of over 74 million people, Hebei is China's sixth most populous province. The Han majority comprise 96% of the population, followed by a minority of Manchu, Hui and Mongol peoples.
