Scotland Tour - Day 3 of 6, Mull to Skye
We travel from our apartment to the ferry waiting at Tobermory. You may have noticed the colourful houses but the day is still damp from the weather.
We board the ferry to hopscotch. Tobermory to Kilchoan, back onto mainland Scotland.
We race up to Mallaig just in time to catch the ferry. But unfortunately, bad weather has canceled the ferry so we stay the night at Mallaig. Things are looking bleak if this is going to be the norm.
Oddly enough, things take a turn for the better as the weather breaks. The sun comes out and we take a little look around. It seems the suns rays are just for us today. To help us see the actual beauty of the seaside down. The sea food at the hotel restaurant is nothing short of perfect. The smell enticing us from the second we entered the port town.
The next day we get up early and catch the first ferry out to the Isle of Skye. The terminal is a whole 15 second drive from our hotel. Arriving at Armadale where we begin another stunning leg of our journey in traditional Scottish weather. Battered by rain and wind, Scotland enjoys punishing us for seeing the best of her -- and we're enjoying it to!

Isle of Iona
isleofmullcottages.com/isle-of-mull-islands.html#iona
Iona is located just off the Isle of Mull's south west tip. Most people staying on Mull make the journey over to Iona at some point during their stay and this little video shows you a little of what there is to see.
The Isle of Iona plays an important role in the history of christianity. Iona Abbey can be visited and tickets are bought on the island.
There are some amazing beaches on Iona and we look at a few of these, as well as Dun I the island's highest point.
We hope this video is useful for anyone interested in things to do on Iona.

As well as stunning landscapes youʼll also find pretty villages, ancient castles, prehistoric standing stones and a richness of crafts, food, drink, history and culture.

Bridge over the Atlantic to Seil and Easdale Argyll Scotland
Bridge over the Atlantic to Seil and Easdale. A short video of my trip to two of the slate islands and passing over the famous bridge over the Atlantic. Both Seil and Easdale along with Luing and other islands where at the centre of the slate industry in Scotland during the 18th and 19th centuries.
It was an overcast day but these islands have a distinctive landscape and atmosphere. A mixture of industrial landscape and the stunning coastal scenery of the West Coast of Scotland.
More videos of my travels around Scotland hopefully on my Triumph Bonneville T100 but also by car, bicycle and hill walking are here on You Tube or at:
