Cappadocia, Turkey - Hot Air Balloon Flight - Soaring over Goreme & Uchisar - 4k GoPro HERO6 Black
Description: Decided to try out the new GoPro Hero6 Black during a Hot Air Balloon Flight in Cappadocia, Turkey and the results were beyond spectacular. The flight lasted for just over an hour and our pilot flew over Avanos, Goreme and Uchisar. What's incredible about the flight is that it's way more dynamic in nature than one can imagine it to be. Post takeoff, experienced balloon pilots will often change altitude and make slight turns during the flight path giving us the viewers a panoramic view of the valleys and natural chimneys. There were times when the bottom of the balloon basket nearly kissed one of the mountain ranges in our path. Along with a top-down view of Goreme & Uchisar, you'll be able to see Monk's Valley, Zemi Valley, Love Valley, Red Valley, Sunset point in Goreme and finally the Pigeon Valley near Uchisar. The flight ends near the outskirts of Uchisar followed by some good old celebratory champagne and desserts.

Technical Details: Shot entirely on a GoPro Hero6 Black in 4k 30/60 fps (ProTune switched ON) without the use of external drones. Message me if you'd like to know the exact ProTune settings.

About Balloon Ride:
Hundreds of Balloon fly over the Cappadocia region with thousands of tourist, every morning and evening ( Except when its too windy or unsafe weather conditions). It's an experience of lifetime. Cost you around 125 to 160 Euros per person depending on the season you visit the place. A standard Balloon carries approx 20 people per flight. Better to do it in the morning as the sky is clear and view is more clearer.

Cappadocia, a semi-arid region in central Turkey, is known for its distinctive “fairy chimneys,” tall, cone-shaped rock formations clustered in Monks Valley, Göreme and elsewhere. Other notables sites include Bronze Age homes carved into valley walls by troglodytes (cave dwellers) and later used as refuges by early Christians. The 100m-deep Ihlara Canyon houses numerous rock-face churches.

Staying in a cave is a must in Cappadocia
There’s a lot of hotels to choose from. We‘ve been looking for a hotel with nice terrace where we can see the hot air ballooning in a different perspective.
And that’s it! We found and stayed in Mithra Cave Hotel - 2,409 lira for 4 days and 3 nights stay with buffet breakfast. Their terrace has the best view to witness the hot air balloons during sunrise which is also perfect for taking photos or you can just sit and start dreaming.
