Eye of the Sand Tiger on the USCG SPAR, Beaufort, North Carolina
Often, there are quite a few Sand Tiger sharks cruising around the Coast Guard cutter, The SPAR. Here's part of the video I shot while diving The SPAR with Discovery Diving. I shot this in the video mode with a Sea & Sea still camera. So, unfortunately, it's not HD, but it's still a great way to remember a great wreck dive.

August 2017 Dive Trip - Beaufort, NC
I took a trip down to Beaufort, NC with a friend and his dive club for a weekend of diving. Unfortunately the weather was not the best suited for diving. There had been some storms that came through the area and made visibility poor and the surface was rough.
The club does this dive every summer and goes out with Discovery Diving and their boat, Outrageous V. The staff is friendly and they certainly know what they are doing. I look forward to the next I can go diving with them.
Please pardon the lack of stability in my video. This was my first time using the GoPro underwater and I had forgotten to change the settings on the camera prior to going in the water. The main setting that I forgot to change was the image size, I had it set to linear instead of wide. I also didn't have a filter on the lens to correct the colors. Next time I go diving I will be better prepared.
On this dive the sand was between 60 and 65 feet down and the wreck started around 35 feet down. I believe that this wreck is the U.S.S. Indra. We also dove on the two tug boats that are next to the Indra. I think I accidentally stopped the recording on my camera after getting in the water. Oops. Like I said, this was my first time using my GoPro underwater.

Scuba diving NC shipwrecks W.E. Hutton SS Suloide
Because this video has been stabilized, some footage was cut off. Go here ( to see the non-stabilized version.
Diving off the coast of North Carolina (Beaufort). Visibility was 75+ feet on the Hutton! We could see the wreckage from the surface. Visibility suffered later in the day and the bottom was stirred up on the Suloide. It's amazing to explore God's spoken handiwork. I apologize for the shaky and zoomed in footage. It was last minute that I decided to dive with a cheap ($18) camera and rigged watercase. I had to move my body to get angle for footage.
Both shipwrecks rest in 50-75 feet of water.
