Scuba Diving Malapascua to see THRESHER SHARKS: Life of a Renegade Ep. 13
Hey Guys!
This is the final island of our month long stay in the Philippines. We took the ferry from the Camotes Island to Danao Port. We thankfully found an air-conditioned bus from the port , which was about P600 more but so worth it for the comfort factor. The bus ride was just over 3 hours to Maya. Everyone on the bus was foreign but we were all headed to Malapascua for some diving adventures. We went to the island to get scuba certified at Evolution Dive Resort. We did a lot of research regarding safety and equipment and decided Evolution was the best dive resort for us. We booked 2 months in advance and paid a $200 deposit to secure our spot. We had an awesome 4 days of skills, safety, and diving training. To my surprise there were 4 quizzes and 2 Final exams to get certified. We also had to complete a series of safety techniques and a 200 meter swim. The first breath under water was a feeling I will never forget.
