Night diving with Divers Den in Panama City Beach Florida
Music...Middle of the Night by Jimmy Buffett
A night dive with Divers Den on the Wreck-reation on one of the bridge spans, I wish I remember which one. Divers Den is an excellent operation with great people. Their boat is small but capable and a little rough in high seas but easily handled for the experienced diver.

Snorkeling in December at Panama City Beach Florida!
I thought I was done snorkeling in Panama City Beach Florida until the Spring, but the weather going into December was so nice and I started to get the snorkeling itch after seeing all these wonderful pictures posted on Members were posting videos and pictures of Devil Rays, Manatee etc. and figured what the heck... the air temperature was in the 70's and the water temperature was around 68 °F same as most Florida Springs. So Alex and I decided to rent some wetsuits from a local dive shop in Panama City Beach called Divers Den to help insulate us from the cooler water. This was my first time using a wetsuit and it worked great for cold water snorkeling! The Gulf Coast in-shore sea life is a little sparse during the cooler seasons but still saw some interesting things.

Panama City Beach - The Beautiful Underwater World!
I saw lots of beautiful sea life and sea plants (algae) while snorkeling in Panama City Beach Florida at the St. Andrews State Park jetty in Panama City Beach Florida. Due to the rich sea life and sea plants (algae) that surround the St. Andrews State Park jetty, the seascape is always changing and each snorkel is uniquely different. These are some of the standout moments I experienced in the beautiful underwater world of PCB with my niece Brittany and Nasir. Thanks for watching!

100ft VISIBILITY WHILE SCUBA DIVING - Grey Ghost and Twin Tugs Panama City Beach
We recently went diving on two new wrecks. We explored the Grey Ghost and the Twin Tugs. The first dive at the Grey Ghost had amazing visibility. The next two dives the current picked up and the visibility worsened. Help me figure out the two fish that I am unable to identify. Post a comment below if you know the name of the fish!
Topics discussed in video:
Nitrogen narcosis:
At increasing depths the amount of nitrogen you breathe in increases. This is due to the increasing pressure. Every 32 feet of ocean water you add another atmosphere. The classic symptoms of nitrogen narcosis at 100 ft includes delayed response to visual and auditory stimuli, idea fixation, euphoria, and anxiety. Nitrogen narcosis slightly resembles being drunk. This worsens as you go deeper because you are saturating your blood with nitrogen.
CNS Oxygen Toxicity:
Oxygen becomes toxic around 1.6 bars. The air we breathe normally has 21% oxygen and around 78% Nitrogen. At 1 atmosphere on the surface we intake .21 O2 each breathe. Keep in mind every 32 feet you descend in the water you add another atmosphere. At around 5 atmospheres with 31% nitrox gas (31% O2 and 69% Nitrogen) you are approaching 1.6 bars of Oxygen gas. That is around 128 feet. If you approach 128 feet on 31% nitrox your body will undergo convulsions and you will most likely pass out and drown.
The reason we take decompression stops:
As nitrogen builds up in the blood stream the body is unable to effectively buffer it out of the system. You must ascend slowly so micro bubbles do not form in the blood. On my second dive I had a 7 minute deco stop at 10 foot to buffer out the nitrogen. These micro bubbles can cause severe damage to the brain, heart, and lungs.
