3 Years Anniversary Crowdfund. Real Russia
Thank to all of you who leaved congratulation to the previous video, dedicated to the 3 Years Anniversary of “Real Russia”.
And SPECIAL thanks to those who are already participated in a new Crowdfunding Campaign in support of the channel.
Such a campaigns are always have been one of the key factors of why “Real Russia” was staying online and, more than that, moved forward and stay “ads free”.
It’s a fact that, the channel shows standard YouTube ads (like pre-rolls which you can skip in 5 seconds) but here never paid product placements or paid ad videos.
The revenue from YouTube Partnership Program still not completely reimburse all the expenses for the activity of channel. That’s why crowdfunding campaigns are always have been pretty helpful.
Crowdfunds are a great alternative to extra advertising in the videos of the channel. It’s good when a couple of time a year, just your “crowd” provides the funding of the channel.
The money collected through crowdfund goes for current expenses for producing the videos, upgrading and getting a new equipment, promotions.
“Real Russia” goes as deeper inside of the real Russian life, as deeper the money let. That’s why it’s important to contribute the channel. Especially now, at the beginning of the new (4th) year and when for the reason of low price for an oil, the exchange rate between Russian rouble and main currencies of the World are high now. So, even a small amounts of contribution in USD or Euros makes valuable amounts in Russian roubles.
Please, maybe reject from a couple of cups of coffee, or one burger, or a peace of pizza today and make your contribution for producing more interesting videos from the inside of Russia!
Thanks!

Without getting too deep into politics or getting too emotional, we have to approach this period professionally. It''s not a standalone history and can''t be called totalitarian. I agree with my colleagues, including the Minister of Culture (Vezdy Rashidov) to accept the name of this museumThe Museum of Socialist Art.

There are other such museums in Europe, but they are with completely different personalities. In Hungary such a museum is called the Museum of Terror. I keep saying, that especially for Bulgaria totalitarian is not corresponding to the nature, subject and the concept of our museum. Totalitarian art is the art of the Third Reich, art during Mussolini''s dictatorship. Totalitarian art is the art of North Korea.

LEADIN:
A new art museum opening in Sofia symbolizes Bulgaria''s long and painful farewell to its totalitarian past.
Hundreds of paintings and statues from the Communist era - which had been gathering dust in cellars - are now being restored for a place in their new home.
STORYLINE:
Giant statues of Soviet dictators Vladimir Lenin and local Bulgarian socialists Georgi Dimitrov and Todor Zhivkov.
These are some of the works being exhibited at a new museum to remind Bulgarians of their totalitarian past.
They were removed after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 - an event that triggered a political tsunami through Soviet satellites in Eastern Europe sweeping away landmark symbols of the communist regimes.
But while Budapest, Berlin and Prague opened similar expositions years ago, it took Bulgaria more than two decades to put together a collection of totalitarian art.
This giant red star being lifted into its new home outside the museum has deep symbolism.
This same star was removed from the roof of the Bulgarian communist party headquarters 21 years ago following collapse of the communist regime.
Since then the ornamental red star has gathered dust in the back of a public bath, where it was being stored.
Retrieved from cellars and warehouses, more than 100 artworks will be put on display in a museum, that''s due to open next month in Sofia''s Izgrev suburb.
Many of the statues need a lot of work to make them presentable.

Плевен от птичи поглед /Pleven,Bulgaria bird's eye view
The town of Pleven is situated in the middle part of the Danube hilly lowland, 160 km from the capital – Sofia, 320 km from the Black Sea and 30 km south from the Danube river. One can reach the town by the first-class road Sofia – Varna (Е83). The town population is about 135,000 people. Pleven falls in an area of temperate-continental climate with large temperature amplitudes from - 15 ° C during the winter to + 35 – 40 ° C during the summer.
The history of the town and the region dates back to thousands of years ago. The earliest evidences about human presence in the region are related to the end of the 5th millennium BC. In the beginning of the new era these lands became part of the Roman Empire. The Roman road station of Storgozia situated by the present day’s location of Pleven, and later a fortress with the same name, were constructed on the road from the Roman town Ulpia Escus (nowadays its remains are situated by the village of Gigen) to Philipopolis (nowadays’ Plovdiv).
During the Middle Ages the settlement was a strong fortress with well developed Bulgarian crafts and mostly trading with leather, wool, tobacco and cattle. The settlement of Slavs and Bulgarians in the 6th – 7th century led to changing the name of the locality - Pleven. Pleven became famous mostly for its active participation in the war between Russia and Turkey in 1877-1878. The town was under siege for five months, and the bloodiest battles between the two belligerent empires – Russia and Turkey were conducted around it. On 10 December 1877 the victorious outcome of the war was established, the Russian army succeeded in defeating and capturing the army of Osman Pasha, and the day was announced an official day of Pleven.
Some of the most interesting landmarks of the town are the Historical Museum, the Panorama “Pleven Epopee”, the Wine Museum in the Kaylaka Park and the remains of Storgoziya Fortress.
The historical museum is housed in an impressive two-storey building – a monument of culture built for cantonment in 1884 – 1888 according to an Italian project.
The museum expositions occupy 24 halls with an area of 7,000 square meters in the building, as well as a park with an open exposition with an area of 37 dca. The Archaeology exposition includes exponents of Prehistory, the Roman Age and the Bulgarian Middle Ages. Among the most attractive of them are collections of flint labor tools from 50 – 45 thousands of years BC, an original residence of the 5 thousand years BC, a copy of the Valchitran Golden Treasure, etc.
The exposition in Ethnography section presents the material and spiritual culture in Pleven and the nearby settlements – traditional lodgings, crafts, festal costumes and jewels of the 19th and the 20th century.
The Revival section keeps valuable documents and articles from the Age of Bulgarian Revival, and the Contemporary History section traces the development of industry and culture in Pleven after the Liberation in 1878.
The regional Historical Museum in Pleven also keeps an exposition dedicated to nature, which includes samples from the local nature, as well as a petrified thigh bone of Archidiscodon – a prehistoric animal from the group of elephant-like animals, which lived on our lands during the Pliocene Age before 3.5 – 4 million years.
One of the most attractive museum halls is dedicated to the opera singer Gena Dimitrova (1941 – 2005), who was born in the Pleven village of Beglizh. Here one can see a lot of personal belongings of the opera queen, donated to the museum by her family, as well as originals and copies of her stage costumes, in which she had sung on global scenes.
The Panorama “Pleven Epopee 1877” is the only monument of its kind on the Bulgarian

I do not know how in the West, Russians believe the concept of Nazism and fascism as synonyms. When we say Kiev Nazis or fascists from Western Ukraine, we mean the same thing.
Namely, people who are obsessed with Hitler about the superiority of one race or nation over others.
In Western Ukrainian fascists (Nazis) has its heroes. This is Bandera, Shukhevych who were servants of Hitler in World War II.
So..There is a war between the Russians, the local population that lives here 1000 years and the Nazi government in Kiev, which the United States led to power.
As a result of the bloody coup, the Nazis from Western Ukraine came to power.
They are a minority, and in the case of democratic elections, they would never have come to power. Then the United States made a bloody coup, as they are able to do it all over the world.
Thus, the United States went to war against the Russian population of the South and East of Ukraine, who lived here 1,000 years and no where to go will not, of course.
I'd like to work for the Russian government, but do not work.
And actually just want to help as best I can. To bring the truth to the world. Free of charge and at the expense of their own time.
I do not know about a help from Russia. Maybe it goes. Also, do not know, maybe go help with the West for Kiev.
What else?
Russian Donbas really fighting against fascism! The Nazis came to power in Kiev seriously consider themselves a superior race. It's funny to hear for non-Ukrainians. But it is. Ukrainians in fact it is Russians. Western historians only in the 20th century had called their - Ukrainians .
Ukrainians do not fight against the Donbas, almost. Basically, fighting Nazis from western Ukraine.
And he led the Ukrain. Nazis to power.
Putin does not want the new lands, otherwise would have long ago captured the whole of the Ukraine, easy!
The Kiev Nazis commit genocide!
Ask if something is unclear, I will answer.

Inside The Stalin Archives: The Secrets of The Great Terror
Why is Stalin, a leader responsible for the deaths of millions of his countrymen, still a revered and popular figure in Russia today? Jonathan Brent takes us on a fascinating tour of Stalin's private papers.
Stalin's own library reveals his hatred of Trotsky and his fascination with Lenin. Brent discusses how Stalin used the assassination of Sergei Kirov to launch the great purge, the ways in which the great terror infected every aspect of society, how Stalin destroyed the church and every other element of a civil society and even controlled who his closest friends and confidants would marry.
In this presentation of The Massachusetts School of Law's program, Books of Our Times, Dean Lawrence R. Velvel interviews Jonathan Brent on his book, Inside the Stalin Archives: Discovering the New Russia.
Mr. Brent is the director of YIVO Institute and founder of the Yale University Press's distinguished Annals of Communism series.
The Massachusetts School of Law also presents information on important current affairs to the general public in television and radio broadcasts, an intellectual journal, conferences, author appearances, blogs and books.

The life in a small Russian town
Greetings from Russia! I live in a small Russian town and want to talk about it. First of all, you must understand that the Russian province is not as scary as you might think. Yes, there is no the Kremlin, the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower. But a person can live here. There are drainage, heating, hot and cold water, electricity and even the Internet in small Russian town.
The main advantage of a small town in Russia is quiet, calm and relatively comfortable environmental conditions. This is due to the fact that almost the entire industry is destroyed in such places like Russian town.
Perhaps this is the perfect compromise between the metropolis and the countryside. Some senior people leave the big cities for a serene old age. Of course, if they were able to accumulate enough money for life in small town Russia.
The main disadvantage of a small Russian town is a lack of prospects for young people. Of course, even a dull backwater has a bar, restaurant, disco, and other primitive entertainment. But I doubt that you will be jumping on the dance floor until the old age, like a wild stallion.
Normal person wants to have a steady job, a comfortable environment for living, family, beloved and children. However, the small Russian towns are experiencing an acute shortage of working places. And even the existing vacancies are low-paying.
As a result, some young people migrate to big cities for earning big money. Other young people stay in their hometown, agreeing with the low-paid work and hopeless life town in Russia.
In short, the situation is very depressing. Active youth migrates to big cities. Their places are taken by boring old people from metropolis. So small Russian towns are gradually turning into
emptying museums, which are overgrown with moss and are covered with dust.
And what about life in your small towns? Write in the comments. And subscribe to my channel and show this video to your friends, who are interested in life in Russia. From Russia with love!

(Contemporaneity and con-temporary?)
- опакото на пространството;
- град и село;
- религия и бохема;
- идеология и форма;
- художници и бълдъзи;
- фотография и скулптура;
- живопис и днес.

STORYLINE:
An investigation is underway after 38 people were killed when fire swept through a psychiatric hospital outside Moscow on Friday.
Health Ministry officials said that the one-story hospital housed patients with severe mental disorders.
Investigators said they are looking at violations of fire regulations and a short circuit as possible causes for the blaze that engulfed the hospital in the Ramensky settlement, some 85 kilometres (53 miles) north of the Russian capital.
At least 29 people were burned alive, said Irina Gumennaya, a spokeswoman for the federal Investigative Committee.
Investigators said the 38 dead included 36 patients and two doctors.
They said a nurse managed to escape and save one patient, while another patient got out on his own.
Gumennaya cited the surviving nurse as saying that the doors inside the hospital were not locked.
The Emergencies Ministry also posted a list of the patients indicating they ranged in age from 20 to 76.
An Emergencies Ministry official said the fire started in a wooden annex and then spread to the main brick building, which had wooden beams.
Health Minister Veronika Skvortsova said that half of the patients took sedatives at night.
She insisted that the patients were not tied to their beds and were not given any medication that would leave them unconscious and unable to escape.
Skvortsova told state television that the hospital had all the necessary fire equipment, but conceded mental hospitals should be better equipped for emergencies than the current law requires.
President Vladimir Putin called for a thorough investigation into the deadly fire and asked regional authorities to pay more attention to safety regulations.
Russia has a poor fire safety record, with about 12,000 deaths reported in 2012.
