Epic Day Fishing for Salmon from the Worlds Smallest Harbor (Depoe Bay,Oregon)
The worlds smallest harbor is in a small town called Depoe Bay,Oregon on the West coast of America. The beaches are stunning and you can see Grey whales not to far from shore.I had an awesome time fishing with Capt Daniel and his mate Travis on the Sea Fever from Tradewind Charters.
We caught our Salmon limit before 10:45 A.M and then went to pic up a few Dungeness crab traps. The fishing was extremely exciting and we all had a great time.I cant say enough about how cool this small town is.I ended up getting my salmon filets and went to a State Park and grilled up a filet for me. I had three extra Filets and i gave them away to a family fishing along the beach. What an awesome day!

Fishing at Garibaldi Kerri Lin Charters.
We limited out on Sea Bass in like 45 minutes and there were about 10 of us in the group. 50 Crabs total. In the end we got to split them up evenly.
Kerri Lin Charters staff (Jeff & Tyler) did an amazing job helping us out on our catch and having them fillet at the end. They also provide Ice to go along with your catch. Overall great experience and will definetly come back.

March 24th Live from the Depoe Bay Whale Watching Center. Spring Whale Watch Week Day 1
Gray whales are traveling north on their way to the summer feeding grounds in Alaska. Watch our live stream as we watch for the tell-tale blow, the spray of ocean water that says a whale is here! If we're lucky, we may see a whale breach as it launches as much as 3/4 of its body out of the water in a spectacular show of power and grace.
The livestream is brought to you by Oregon State Parks and the Whale Watching Spoken Here Program. Want to learn more? Go to for more news about gray whales. Visit for state park, campground and reservation information, as well as Oregon State Park merchandise in the Park Store.
The Gray Whale Tail - Depoe Bay, Oregon
Every summer about 200-300 gray whales return to the Central Oregon Coast's fertile feeding seas. Every three to five minutes they come to surface first identified by blowing water high. Then when they take a deep dive to eat again they flip their tail or fluke up, known as fluking.
Is it time for a vacation, to relax, or to rejuvenate? Want an exotic wedding location? The Central Oregon Coast is the perfect place for that! The negative ions of the ocean enhance our mood, stimulate our senses, improve appetite, and provide relief from many physical ailments. The cool temperate climate of the Central Oregon Coast is very calming and soothing.
Serenity by the Sea is a charming spacious ocean view home steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches on the coast. It is located in a quiet neighborhood not too far from many of the local attractions and life of the small towns. Serenity by the Sea is designed for groups of family, friends, or co-workers of up to 14 people to experience the beach on the pure soft sand or from the coziness of a home with space for meeting all together or finding a private nook. Easy access to 101 to go whale watching, hiking at many state parks, glass blowing, wood carving, art galleries, shopping, and more!
If you do not have a big group, no problem. Individual rooms are also available for 1-4 people.

WHALE WATCHING DEPOE BAY ???? | SEA LIONS | ???? ROGUE Brewery Headquarters
After leaving Seaside, we headed south along the coast to Newport, Oregon. More specifically, Whalers Rest RV Campground, another Thousand Trails park. This Thousand Trails campground wasn't bad, but the spots were really tight and the cell reception was practically nonexistent.
It was a great location, however, with the coast a block away and convenient for exploring Newport and the Oregon Coast. We visited the Rogue Brewery Headquarters, went Whale Watching in Depoe Bay, watched the surfers at the Devil's Punchbowl, chilled out at Nye Beach, visited the sea lions, and drove down the coast to Thor's Well. There is so much to do in this area and we were treated to blue skies and beautiful weather!

The Boiler In Boiler Bay, Depoe Bay, Oregon - The Wreck Of The J. Marhoffer
Boiler Bay, Depoe Bay, Oregon has a treasure which is hidden most of the time except for extreme minus tide conditions. A boiler from the shipwreck of the schooner, J. Marhoffer can be seen infrequently, as the waters from the Pacific Ocean keep it obscured. Husband and wife, AKA: Team McMorlan were able to negotiate treacherously slick conditions during a very low minus tide and photograph the mostly concealed rusty remains.
