In this episode of Snailtrail4x4, Jimmy Jet and some friends, take a scenic drive the Dodge Ridge Trail. The Trail is located five miles past Pinecrest Lake towards Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. The Trail was quite easy (Level 3), 4-wheel drive is not required, but a high ground clearance vehicle would be advised. The trail had many spots to pull off and enjoy the picturesque views. There were also many camping spots along the trail. This would be an easy, quick getaway.

Pinecrest Lake, California is a picturesque lake nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. It is part of the Stanislaus National Forest and is a peaceful outdoor retreat. This was the first time Ben and I had visited, and we fell in love with the raw beauty the mountains offered.
About a month ago, our family invited us to hike, swim and play at the lake. A special thank you to the Dupont family! You can rent boats, kayaks, paddleboats and more at the marina for as little as $15 an hour. Hiking around the lake is free and fun! Plus, you can jump into the lake when you get too hot! Our favorite part was cliff jumping.
During the winter months, nearby Dodge Ridge is a lovely place to ski or snowboard. Be sure to check this place out if you are in the area!

It encompasses the Stanislaus-Tuolumne Experimental Forest, an experimental forest under the management of the United States Forest Service.
