An approximately 250 meter long covered shopping arcade connects Dogo Onsen Honkan with Dogo Onsen Station. The shopping Arcade is known as Haikara Dori. The arcade is filled with stores selling local specialties, gifts, sweets and snacks. Most shops here open into the night and the shopping street remains lively with strolling visitors. Ryokan guests can walk around in their yukata.

Dogo Onsen (道後温泉, Dōgo Onsen) is one of Japan's oldest and most famous hot springs, located to the east of central Matsuyama. The area is popular with tourists for its beautiful bath house and many ryokan. Dogo Onsen has also been a frequent destination for Japan's most prestigious guests, the Imperial Family.
Hours: varies by shop, typically from 9:00 to 22:00
Closed: varies by shop from no closing days to one per month or week, typically Tuesday or Wednesday

The shopping Arcade is a four minute walk from Dogo Onsen Station, the terminus of three tram lines. From JR Matsuyama Station, take tram line 5 (20 minutes, 160 yen). From Matsuyama-shi Station, take tram line 3 (15 minutes, 160 yen).

It’s our day 3. Again woke up early and took shinkansen to Hiroshima. Then took a bus to Hiroshima port to take superjet to Matsuyama. We’ve started our 5 days Setouchi pass we bought at Klook.
Once arrived at Matsuyama, we explore the city withing one day. We even bought one day transportation card to walk around the city.

This week I tried to show a wounderful part of my Matsuyama City, DOGO. Dogo Onsen,
the oldest hot spring in Japan, is proud of its 3,000-year history. The Main Building, the symbol of Dogo spa resort, completed in 1894 (designated as an Important Cultural Property) is surrounded by many hotels and traditional Japanese-style inns, Haikara Dori shopping arcade, Botchan Karakuri Dokei Clock/ Footbath and beautiful park that use to be a ZOO.
I took my car through and around those placeses to show you a little piece of Japan.

Sebuah area perbelanjaan sepanjang 250 meter yang melingkupi lorong perbelanjaaan yang menghubungkan Dogo Onsen Honkan dengan stasiun Dogo Onsen. Area perbelanjaan ini dikenal dengan nama Haikara Dori. Lorong jalan ini dipenuhi dengan toko-toko yang menjual makanan-makanan lokal spesial, suvenir, kue-kue manis dan makanan ringan. Sebagian besar toko di sini buka sampai malam, jadi area perbelanjaan dipenuhi pengunjung sepanjang hari. Para tamu ryokan dapat berjalan-jalan dengan yukata mereka.
Apa itu Doga Onsen?
odo Onsen adalah salah satu sumber air panas terpopuler dan tertua di Jepang, berlokasi di sebelah timur Matsuyama. Area ini terkenal di kalangan wisatawan karena rumah pemandiannya yang indah dan banyaknya penginapan Ryokan. Dogo Onsen juga menjadi tujuan wisata bagi keluarga kaisar.
