Bagnell Dam at Lake Ozark, MO
Bagnell Dam and Lake Ozark, MO are both interesting places so I decided to share a short video with you.
Bagnell Dam is VERY narrow and has a curve in each end. So, what's a guy to do but film it while crossing it on a motorcycle, while holding the video camera.
Lake Ozark was a popular tourist area in the 1960's. It's still a popular spot, but the strip hasn't changed much. They still have two Muffler Men, a Half-Wit and an Indian Chief, waving to each other on opposite sides of the street. They also still have the Dogpatch store, a few Old Time Photo joints, various shops and 10 cent SkeeBall.
It's worth spending some time in this little town if you're in the area. It's fun to reminiscence about your childhood and a simpler time.

Lake Ozark 2015 | 1 of 5 | Jefferson City to Bagnell Dam
This segment starts at a place that is becoming a favorite starting point just outside Jefferson City. We'll take U.S. 63 to U.S. 54 and stay on 54 to Eldon. I'll stop to use the restroom and proceed to the lake via U.S. 54. We'll then take Union Electric road to a Vista Point that overlooks a tiny piece of the lake and a dam. Ameren needs to cut down some trees to make it a better experience. Back on UE Road, we'll go to the Dam. Here you'll see jumping fish and a lot of power lines. We'll leave the Dam and head back to Business 54. The segment ends as we get to the top of the hill overlooking the Lake.

This series of videos chronicles my travels through the states of Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas and Nebraska as filmed in Mid-June of 2011. The video is in real time as time lapse, while cool, is distracting and takes away from the real beauty of this wonderful country. Please be aware the original audio was stripped away (was Sirius XM Satellite Radio) due to copyright concerns.
The video is very long. If you like it please leave a comment. If you like the channel, subscribe to it. If you have a comment, question, concern or criticism that offers advice, please leave it (it has to be okayed by me before being published), if you plan on leaving a smart-ass remark (like one one made by X1yoyo1X: I watched the whole thing. NOT :D )it will not be published and you'll be blocked!

Abandoned Sharecropper House
I found a house like my granny's and I had to get a video of it. All of the windows and doors were open and it seemed like no one had been there in a long time. This house is located in a tiny Arkansas town that is named after the people who owned most of the property with a ville added at the end. Most people there made a living picking cotton on rented land. This was slightly better than sharecropping? Granny's house was in the same town but was demolished in the early 90's. Whoever owned this place must have been pretty highfalutin because they had indoor plumbing.

Lake Ozark 2015 | 2 of 5 | Bagnall Dam to Big Surf | 1080p/60fps
This segment starts out as we're leaving the Bagnall Dam viewing area. You can see the lake just to your left. We'll turn onto Business U.S. 54 and cross the dam. We'll stop at Dogpatch to get pictures of the lake and see the things around it. Then back on the road again we'll tour Old U.S. 54, detouring into a residential area. We'll cross the lake and stay on the old highway, looking for a public picnic area. We'll go into Lake of the Ozark State Park and park. I'll have my MRE, then head out to the old highway. We'll then hop onto U.S. 54 and drive to Route Y. We'll drive all the way down the road until we see a no trespassing sign. We'll turn around and the segment ends around Big Surf.
MOre information on the state park can be found here:
This was a test video of my new computer to see how much time it would take to render a video that is 1080p/60fps. In a side by side comparison, the new computer took 4 hours and 45 minutes. The old one was about 18 hours. I stopped the older one when the new one finished. This uploaded video was around 5GB. This mode will be reserved for the more interesting segments due to AT&T's 150GB limit on it's DSL lines (damn bastards!) However all of my forthcoming video series will be in 720P/60fps or higher unless the video just isn't interesting enough, or it was shot on a camera that can shoot only 30fps, or if I decide do render in 1080p/30fps.

This is the first long form road video I made. The camera was a small pin hole postage stamp with poor resolution mounted to the grill of a 1988 Dodge Ram. The VCR was a likewise poor quality VHS that was 10 years old at the time of the recording. I used telephone cable for video from and power to the camera.
Keep in mind comments must meet my approval. If you like the video, please let me know. If not, tell me why. General comments about the towns and country side are always welcomed. Any mean comments like I watched the whole thing. NOT! :D will be rejected and user barred from making future comments. If you don't like what you see, just move on.
My videos are long, and I don't expect anyone to view them entirely. They are in real time. I do thank you for your time.

After the previous night of flooding, I decided to take no chances and pulled into an abandoned building off the highway. There were many spiders but no more rain.
