It happened -- I FINALLY SAW PUFFINS!!! And whales! And white beak dolphins! We sailed on a schooner into the Greenland Sea and felt like real explorers :D
The tour company we used is called North Sailing, but I'd also recommend checking out Gentle Giants. Both are comparable and eco-friendly!

Whale Watching Husavik Iceland cinematic edit
dec. 13, 2018 , 3 days before the end of whale watching season for North Sailing in Husavik, northern Iceland, I went on that 3-hour cruise... it was dark, cold and didn't look promising... after all, it was just a few days before they would end the whale watching cruises for the winter... so would we see any whales ?

I highly recommend going on a whale watching cruise.. I've seen them in Akureyri and Husavik, and also killer whales in Grundarfjördur . Such amazing moments.

Iceland Adventure - Whale Watching with Husavik Adventures
Whale watching Husavik Iceland, with HUSAVIK ADVENTURES, June, Lightdow 3.0 4k ultra HD
Just like being there. Husavik Adventures Inc., Humpback, Fin, and Minke Whales. Excursion in Northern Iceland on Skjálfandi Bay which translates to Trembling bay because of the many earthquakes there. We camped out at Husavik campground in the town center. We thought the Rib boats are better because they are more agile, smaller passenger size. Better opportunity to get close to the whales. Have fun!!!!
Iceland Road Trip Day 5 & 6: Whale Watching in Husavik
Day 5 & 6 of our Iceland road trip included a big drive from Hofn to Husavik with a stopover at the huge Dettifoss which turned out to be a bit hard to get to.
One road was closed due to snow, another was missing a huge chunk at the turn off to it, and the third one worked a charm but did involve a hike through ice and snow.
We also got to go whale watching with North Sailing with a very excitable and fun guide in the beautiful little town of Husavik.
