Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium (Kuroshio Sea)
This video highlights our visit to the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa, Japan. I’ve been to a bunch of public aquariums, and the okinawa aquarium certainly holds its own as one of the best. Obviously the sheer size of it is impressive, but the quality of the individual displays is top notch.
The signature display is called the kuroshio sea. It measures 115 ft long, 89 ft wide, and 33 ft deep. For those keeping score at home, that is just shy of 2 million gallons of water. The acrylic panel you see here is 74 ft by 27 ft and is 2 ft. thick.

Back with another travel vlog!
A couple of friends and I went to Naha, Okinawa for the last few days of our spring break. We visited Naminoue Beach, Shuri Castle, Fukushuen Garden, took a bus tour to Churaumi Aquarium, and went to the American Village/Sunset Beach. The weather was decently warm but not really warm enough to swim in the ocean.

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium in Japan
This entire video was shot at okinawa churaumi aquarium in December 2018 with only an Iphone. The highlight of the aquarium is the huge and majestic tank with tiger sharks. It used to be the biggest in the world and now is the third one. This aquarium has dolphins shows, an area for Manatee and turtles, it is awesome. There are restaurants, food trucks and a full visit is probably half a day. The Aquarium is near Motobu which is about 1.5 hours by car from Naha.

나하시의 심장인 국제거리는 1년 내내 관광객의 발걸음으로 넘쳐난다. 한해 오키나와를 찾는 관광객만도 500만 명. 2차 세계대전 후 급속한 재건이 이루어져 ‘기적의 1마일’이라고도 불리는 이 국제거리는 새로운 오키나와의 상징이기도 하다. 오가는 손님을 유혹하는 빗자루 피리 소리가 아직 이 거리를 낯설어 하는 내게 다정스레 말을 건넨다. 온갖 선물가게며 음식점, 옷가게가 어우러져 볼거리가 많은 국제거리는 거기에 아기자기함까지 더해져 눈을 즐겁게 한다. 햇살 넘치는 고장답게 화사하면서도 해학적인 미소를 띤 녀석이 반갑게 인사를 하는가 하면, 복을 부른다는 고양이 마네키네코 인형은 간판 위에 매달려 해맑은 얼굴로 손짓한다. 거리 곳곳에 넉살좋게 자리 잡은 인형들은 오가는 사람들의 좋은 친구가 된다. 거리 한 켠에선 고양이 한 마리가 사람들의 시선을 붙잡는다. 일본사람들의 고양이 사랑은 유별난 데가 있다. 만져보고, 얼러보고, 카메라 셔터를 눌러댄다. 하지만 이 녀석, 좀체 눈을 뜰 줄 모른다. 낯선 여행자에겐 소소한 것 하나하나가 새로움으로 다가온다. 고양이의 작은 움직임 하나까지도 말이다. 이 길 위엔 걸어보지 않으면 느낄 수 없는 즐거움이 곳곳에서 기다린다.
