TRINCOMALEE - SNORKELLING AT PIGEON ISLAND & Dolphin & Whale Watching | Sri Lanka Vlog 2
Trincomalee on Sri Lanka's East Coast is a really unique place to visit! I stayed for 2 nights in Uppuveli instead of Nilaveli as I heard the beach is nicer and it's quieter and I found it to have a nice beach and be very quiet!
One of the most popular things to do in Trincomalee is to go Whale Watching, it wasn't the season for Whale sightings as the main season is February to April however I was told there were Dolphins around so I went on a sunrise Dolphin watching trip, to my delight I did see the spray of a whale although I didn't see it properly!
Later that day I headed to Pigeon island in Trincomalee, this is another popular activity in Trincomalee because the snorkelling around here is good. Although it was really busy with lots of boats and tourists there I did see turtles and a shark which was amazing!
This was a really good way to spend one day in Trincomalee and Uppuveli!
I only stayed 2 nights in Trincomalee as I found it pretty quiet and the weather wasn't great and afterwards I headed to Arugam Bay!

Whale & Dolphin Watching in Mirissa, Sri Lanka
Have you ever been Whale and Dolphin watching?
Sail Sri Lanka helps tourists watch these majestic creatures in their natural habitat and it's absolutely breath taking.
Here's our experience.
Sri Lanka - Part 1 | Bentota, Galle, Unawatuna, Whale watching! | Sri Lanka Vlog #1
We fly into Sri Lanka from India for a holiday within a holiday. Visiting lots of beaches along the West and South coast and visiting Galle. We also went whale watching & spotted lots of spinner dolphins and a blue whale which was both wonderful and also slightly upsetting for the whale.
Whale Watching in Mirissa, Sri Lanka // WE SAW A BLUE WHALE!
Whale watching in Mirissa was by far one of the most incredible activities I did while in Sri Lanka.
I've done whale watching in South Africa before but this trip was much better as we saw SO MANY WHALES! From pilot whales to two massive blue whales, biggest mammals on earth, even bigger than our boat. It was a truly exciting whale watching trip and is also super cheap at only $30 per person.
KALPITIYA, SRI LANKA 2017 - DOLPHIN WATCHING IN PARADISE | VLOG #43
Kalpitiya is a destination on the west coast of Sri Lanka famous for dolphin and whale watching. So we went out on the ocean to see if we could find some of the beautiful creatures. Trust me, we succeeded. ;)

Unawatuna Galle | Leisure Land Luxury Eco Villas | Sri Lanka 2017 | Travel Video
Vist Srilank, spend time on Unawatuna beach, go whale watching and rescue some sea turtles.
We travelled from Matara which is about 44km in distance to Galle. Once we arrived at Leisure Land Luxury Eco Villas it was like its little own Jungle. Lush greenery, wildlife all around and adventure to be had.
Our host arranged for us to go whale watching for the morning, which was all the way back down south in Mirrisa.
This cost about SLR 5000 per adult ( 27 euros, £24 $32 ) and half for children. This includes transfers and lunch.
we visited a Turtle Hatchery just outside of Galle.
The people here are just wonderful, kind hearted people who devote their lives to looking after the Turtles. We were told about a turtle who had to have an operation, to remove plastic from its stomach and another one, who was attacked by a shark and it was recovering there.
After Visiting the Turtle Hatchery we when to Unawatuna Beach, which is a great place to chill out, have drinks and eat amazing food. We booked a trip out on a boat so we could go snorkelling.
Our last day at Leisure Land we experience a tropical thunderstorm, which lasted most of the afternoon. Be aware that when it has not rained for a while all of the animals and critters come out to feed. We had a near fatal experience where one of us was nearly stung by a large black scorpion. Luckily we spotted it moments before it was to strike. Word of advice, wear shoes and keep your eyes peeled.
Our Videos show how we see the world. We see beauty in the world we live in and it is our mission in life to showcase the amazing sights that the world and its people have to offer. We hope you enjoy what you see! Mather and Brown is brought to you by a passionate photographer Philippa Mather, born and raised in South Africa and immigrated to England in 2002 and Stu Brown, a Aspiring photographer and Film maker. We Love the world we live in and we hope to see as much of it as we can.
