Perth 2019 - Day Trip to Dolphin Quay @ Mandurah & Cottlesloe Beach
What to do on a hot summer day? Get to somewhere that's cooler and close to the water, Mandurah was 3 degrees lower on a 35 degrees day in Scarborough.
We went to Dolphin Quay in Mandurah, the new shopping centre Mandurah Forum and the Cottesloe beach in the late afternoon.
It was my first visit to Dolphin Quay, the beach was good. Please remember to get sun block to avoid sun burn.
We waited until 5+ to visit cottesloe beach as the weather was too hot.
Finally a stop for dinner at the malaysian restaurant (Golden Wok) beside Westfield Innaloo.

Spent the day touring Mandurah. Happened upon these lovely creatures after lunch. Just awesome.

We travel down to Mandurah in the afternoon for a look around and dinner. We got lucky and spotted some dolphins on the walk.

Little bit about beautiful Mandurah
Mandurah is a city on the southwest coast of Western Australia. It’s known for the Peel-Harvey Estuary with its abundant wildlife and migratory waterbirds. The Mandurah Community Museum features exhibits on the Peel region’s history. Halls Head Beach has a large resident dolphin population. To the south, Yalgorup National Park is home to thrombolites, rare, rock-like microorganism formations, at Lake Clifton.

Saturday 15th May 2017's Murray River Lunch Cruise guests were treated to an incredible show by some very playful dolphins, who surfed and launched metres into the air off our vessels wake. See the extraordinary airtime they score at 2 minutes into the video. Footage captured by our hostess Kat.
