Boat Trip Inverness
Boat Trip Inverness
- for a new and exciting choice for you to take a wildlife boat trip on the Moray Firth
See Common and Grey Seals, Otters, Herons, Cormorants, Shags and of course Dolphins.
Remember these are all wild animals and we can't guarantee you'll always be able to see them when you take a boat trip with us. However at the very least you get to sail on the waters of the Moray Firth and see the area from a different perspective.
There are two boat trips on offer from the Dolphin Spirit base at Inverness marina:
Dolphin Spirit Cruiser
Designed to take parties of up to sixty for a delightful cruise out into the Beauly Firth, then under the Kessock Bridge for a trip out into the Moray Firth. Wheelchair accessible.
Dolphin Mischief RIB
A trip for thrill-seekers. This 12 seater fast RIB takes you out through the narrows at Chanonry Point, past Fort George and into the open water of the Moray Firth. And it does it fast. We provide you with a waterproof oversuit and lifejacket but we recommend bringing warm clothing, gloves, a warm hat and waterproof shoes. Travelling at speed over water can get cold, even on a summer afternoon.
So if you're looking for a boat trip with a chance of seeing some real wildlife. Take a look at Dolphin Spirit.

Dolphin Watching Inverness
Stating from Cromarty near Inverness, we went dolphin watching in an inflatable ten-seater boat with powerful outboard motors, which took us far out to where there were an abundance of dolphins. They were a treat to watch...

Port of Inverness June 2018
Inverness Harbour;
The City of Inverness is the economic and administrative capital of the Highlands; over recent years it has become one of the most vibrant and successful commercial centres in the UK.
The Port of Inverness is one of the major economic hubs of the Highlands providing a vital gateway for companies in the north both to export and import a wide variety of goods and it has been at the heart of the city's growth and expansion. It is one of Scotland’s most sheltered natural deep water harbours and as a result the port can offer ships almost guaranteed access irrespective of the weather.
The port lies close to the city centre and thus has excellent communications links not only with the city but the surrounding wider region. Recent developments have made the port one of the most modern in the north with excellent covered storage and laydown facilities.
A brand new entrance has been created, designed to accommodate extra long loads in excess of 50m in length. Easy access to the A9 for both north and south bound traffic and the surrounding hinterland is a considerable advantage.
The Port's Mission Statement is for it to be a progressive, vibrant driver of growth for Inverness and the Highlands and to be recognised as such by the community and by industry.
Trading with the rest of the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, the Baltics, the European Union and further afield, the port handles a diverse range of cargoes including oil/fuel, renewable energy machinery, packaged timber, round logs, Sterling Board, woodchips, coal, salt, animal feeds, frozen fish and a diverse range of other goods.

BEST TIME TO VISIT SCOTLAND!
Scotland is just another world... Probably one of the most spectacular places i've ever visited.
Quick 3 days road trip driving coast to coast from Edinburgh to Glenfinnan. Admiring the unreal beauty of Glencoe Valley where towering mountains loom overhead as you wind your way through this majestic glen. The Autumn season brought that colourful touch making this place magical.
