Utrecht Tower Tour 2014 : Domtoren (Dom Tower)
With 465 steps and as high as 112 meters, Domtoren was built 600 years ago and took 61 years to finished by the Dutch settlers. The view above was stunning if sometimes scary. Prepare for a sickening heights and be careful not to be blown by the wind.
Domtoren Clock Tower Plays the Marble Machine Song
Malgosia Fiebig surprised me completely by playing the Marble Machine song on the Carillion of the Domtoren clock tower for the whole city of Utrecht!

Domtoren Carillon bells Dom Tower Utrecht Netherlands
Two views, the first from Choorstraat, the second from Domplein (the oldest square in Utrecht), of the Domtoren or Dom Tower and its Carillon bells of originally 35 chimes but now extended being played at lunchtime on Friday 4th April 2008.
The tower is 112.5 metres (368 feet) high and was built in the mid 1300s.

Utrecht is a one and twenty minutes ride from Roermond with the train. We bought a day ticket and we decided to visit Utrecht - now the city I fell in love with. It was both our first time to visit this place but it captured our hearts. Will definitely come back.

Taken on 19th April 2014, here are highlights of a day trip to Utrecht in the Netherlands - an amazing city full of canals, shops cafe's and restaurants, like Amsterdam but much better and less tourists. If in the Netherlands you must visit this city. This video shows the views from the top of the Dom Tower (the highest tower in the Netherlands) and the best bits on a canal cruise.

I was just filming the Dom tower in Utrecht (netherlands) when this bizarre thing happened! Just watch.
More on making this: I used a photograph I took earlier this year and cut out all the different parts. Added fake camera shake and motion blur. The birds are also fake, I added these to the animation. They're just 2 connected lines, in a wave pattern, looping. The sounds are from an earlier (real) recording.

The Dom Toren or Dom Tower in Utrecht, the tallest in the Netherlands, was built between 1321 and 1382 and has become the symbol of the city.
Guided tours are offered and the group I joined was treated to an up close look at the mechanical working of the bells chiming on the hour.
