Wish You Were Here 30th Anniversary event
Featuring David Leland, Emily Lloyd and BBC R4 Francine Stock.
The classic British film, ‘Wish You Were Here’ was filmed in and around Worthing 30 years ago – in 1987. To celebrate the launch of a new book about 120 years of film in Worthing and Sussex – ‘Electric Pictures’ (published by The History Press) – Worthing WOW hosted a special book launch and film screening at the Dome Cinema.
The film was introduced by it’s esteemed director David Leland – who has written the Foreword to the book – and after the film there was a Q&A with him about his glittering Hollywood career and what it was like to film in Worthing 30 years ago.
Worthing WOW organized this event for the community of Worthing to celebrate creativity, to inspire our younger generation, and to raise funds for future festival events. Worthing WOW is a Registered Charity : Number 1166203

ALLJOOK - Look with your hands (studio version)
Album version of Look with your hands. download from: alljook.bandcamp.com.
This song was written and recorded in my bedroom studio in Northern Ireland with only a Tanglewood acoustic guitar and a Behringer microphone. It was then layered with synths and programmed drums.
I mixed the song in Logic Pro on my Macbook with Akai monitors.
I also made use of college studios in Worthing, England where I was able to continue mixing and master the song in studios using Genelecs and Dynaudio monitors. The songs was then also referenced through cinema sound systems to analyse playback at loud volumes. Both in the Dome cinema, Worthing in England and Movieland, Newtownards cinema in Northern Ireland.

Worthing, Sussex. England, UK
Worthing is a large seaside town in England, with borough status in West Sussex, in the historic county of Sussex. It is situated at the foot of the South Downs, 10 miles (16 km) west of Brighton, and 18 miles (29 km) east of the county town of Chichester. With an estimated population of 104,600 and an area of 12.5 square miles (32.37 km2) the borough is the second largest component of the Brighton/Worthing/Littlehampton conurbation, which makes it part of the 15th most populous urban area in the United Kingdom.
The area around Worthing has been populated for at least 6,000 years and contains Britain's greatest concentration of Stone Age flint mines, which are some of the earliest mines in Europe. Lying within the borough, the Iron Age hill fort of Cissbury Ring is one of Britain's largest. Worthing means (place of) Worth/Worō's people, from the Old English personal name Worth/Worō (the name means valiant one, one who is noble), and -ingas people of (reduced to -ing in the modern name). For many centuries Worthing was a small mackerel fishing hamlet until in the late 18th century it developed into an elegant Georgian seaside resort and attracted the well-known and wealthy of the day. In the 19th and 20th centuries the area was one of Britain's chief market gardening centres.
