Bonaire Scuba Diving Captain Dons Reef Klein Bonaire part 2 Jan 2019

Bonaire is a lovely place.... both above and below the water. This video is a few more clips of my dive off Klein Bonaire at Captain Don's Reef and heading back to the boat. Sometimes I like the last part of the dive the best.... gliding over the sand on the way back to the boat mooring.... stopping to look at the small islands of corals.... hanging out under the boat while breathing down to 500 PSI... just enjoying and exploring for a few more precious moments. There is a plaque near the mooring dedicating the site to Captain Don. Also, I was happy to find a smooth trunkfish just before I had to head up to the dive ladder. I like watching those little guys. Dive outfit was Sea Donkey Diving and dive master was Raoul.

Captain Don's Reef, Klein Bonaire 2017. Named after the scuba pioneer and underwater conservationist that established the marine park we are enjoying on this trip. It's a great combination of color and fish. I hope you enjoy all this video, but if you're growing tired of these underwater videos, just skip to the last 15 seconds and enjoy the turtle that swam by our group.

Scuba diving the site Captain Don's Reef off Klein Bonaire. I used a GoPro 3+ black with a red filter and did some rudimentary editing with GoPro Studio. All of the corals and other marine life in the waters surrounding Bonaire, including the reef system around Klein Bonaire, are part of a protected marine park. Sea Donkey Diving was the dive outfit I used for my day exploring a couple Klein Bonaire sites. Raoul was the guide and Tracey, one of the owners, captained the boat. I highly recommend them! One of my favorite clips in this video is the coral that looks like a smiley face. Quite a few Black Durgon on this reef. I didn't see any of them on the reefs around Bonaire itself. This was a beautiful dive site... I can see why this is the one that Captain Don chose to have named after him.

Capt. Don's Habitat Dive Operation is a PADI 5-Star Gold Palm Resort. It is centrally located within the resort complex for easy access from all rooms. We have three 1-tank boat departures daily to over 70 moored sites on our custom built, dive boats. Each mooring buoy is limited to 1 boat so you'll have the reef all to yourself. Diving rates are priced per-dive or as part of a complete dive vacation package. Diving rates indicated are a la carte rates, better pricing is available on selected packages booked through one of our reservation centers. Following accepted safe diving practices, you can grab a tank and go....whenever you want!

The Habitat Dive Operation offers training from the following training agencies...PADI, TDI and SDI and accepts all Universal Referrals for final completion of training ...and is equipped to handle all of your certification needs including Rebreathers and Tri-Mix. Choose from over 20 specialty courses! Rec Tek Scuba is conveniently based out of our dive operation with its own technical diving dedicated classroom.

All needed equipment is available for rental or sale in the Captain's Locker which also has those last minute items you may have forgotten. BonPhoto is conveniently located on property offering camera rentals, personalized instruction and private photo and video shoots. Many activities are offered through Flow, such as caving, cycling, fluorescent night snorkeling and diving, freediving and kayaking.
