SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit Hauptplatz (The spectacular Main Square) which forms the centre of Linz, and with an area of around 13,200 m², it is one of the largest enclosed squares in Austria. An impressive 20-metre-high column, completed in 1723, is situated in the middle of Hauptplatz.
Hauptplatz is located near to the Danube, and is enclosed by buildings with an important historical background and whose striking facades characterise the square's appearance.

Der in Hallstadt, Oberösterreich lebende britische Fotograf und Filmproduzent Geoff Tompkinson kreierte einen beeindruckenden Timelapse-Film durch Oberösterreich – hier finden Sie die 2:13-Sequenz der wunderschönen Donauregion.
Erleben Sie einen grenzenlosen, virtuellen Flug über Oberösterreich. Auf unglaubliche Weise fügt sich ein Ort unmittelbar an den nächsten, die Dimensionen von Raum und Zeit werden scheinbar durchbrochen. Die örtliche Distanz einzelner Schauplätze ist ebenso aufgehoben wie die Grenzen der Jahreszeiten. So wird beispielsweise ein Fenster eines Gebäudes zum Wurmloch zwischen eigentlich weit voneinander entfernten Schauplätzen. Nur scheinbar zufällig in die Szenerie integrierte Bilder sind auf fast magische Weise der Schlüssel für den Eintritt in die nächste Sequenz.

Linz hat einen Ruf als Industriestadt. Das ist jetzt eigentlich nicht schlechtes, hinterlässt aber bei Auswärtigen immer den Eindruck dass sich ein Besuch nicht lohnt.
Mit meiner Linzserie möchte ich mit diesem Vorurteil ein wenig aufräumen, denn die Landeshauptstadt von Oberösterreich hat vieles zu bieten, auch für Touristen.
In diesem Video begebe ich mich in einen der Parks oberhalb der Stadt. Tolle Aussichten und und interessante Gebäude verstecken sich hier im Park am Freinberg.
Also, wenn ihr mal in der Gegend seit, besucht die Stadt, genießt seine schönen Ecken und entdeckt für euch den Charme eines touristischen Aussenseiters.
