Dongbaekseom Island, Haeundae, Busan, South Korea
Dongbaekseom Island (Island of Camellias) is an island located off one end of Busan's famous Haeundae Beach. Although the years of sedimentation have connected the island to the mainland, Dongbaekseom was originally an island and is still referred to as one.
Dongbaekseom Island is easy to navigate thanks to the walking path that is built around it. The island has several attractions, including the monument inscribed with a poem of scholar Choi Chi-won, the mermaid statue based on the legend of Princess Hwagok, and the Nurimaru APEC House. It also offers fantastic views of the Busan shoreline towards Mipo, Dalmaji Hill, Gwangangdaegyo Bridge, and Oryukdo Island. As the name suggests, camellias burst into bloom everywhere on the island from winter to spring.

Dongbaekseom (동백공원) is a lovely place to visit for first time visitors in Busan. Go there for a nice stroll or jog in the morning or evening. Whatever the timing, it gives you a nice view of Busan city on the Heaundae Beach side and the Gwangalli Beach side too!
To get there from Busan Bus Terminal, take subway from Nopo Station (Busan Subway Line 1), transfer to Line 2 at Seomyeon Station and take Line 2 to Dongbaek Station. After exiting at gate 1, walk 700m straight ahead.
After Dongbaekseom, we had Puffer fish soup at Geumsubokguk (금수복국) for dinner. You need a special license to cook the fish as the dish is poisonous if not cooked properly! So do try it out if you are going to Busan. It is near Dongbaekseom, so you can take a taxi to get there.

Vor ein paar Wochen waren hier in Südkorea Feiertage (Chuseok) und wir sind für 4 Tage nach Busan gefahren. Busan ist mit dem Bus in etwa 5 Stunden zu erreichen und liegt direkt am Meer. Falls ihr Euch also für eine Reise nach Südkorea entscheidet, dann lohnt es sich definitiv für ein paar Tage nach Busan zu fahren.
In diesem Video seht Ihr unsere Reise zur Dongbaekseom Island un dem Haeundae Beach. Beide Ziele sind sehr leicht zu erreichen und sind einen Besuch wirklich wert! In dem nächsten Video geht es mit weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten weiter. Bleibt dabei!!

Haeundae District is a gu in eastern Busan, South Korea. Haeundae is an affluent beach front community that attracts tens of thousands of tourists during summer. It has been subject to considerable commercial development in recent decades.
The beach is linked to Busan Subway Line 2 and train stations on the Donghae Nambu railway line.
Busan Haeundae Beach in Haeundae-gu is located at the southeast end of the city of Busan. Busan Haeundae beach is 40 minutes away from Busan's main railroad station (in the Downtown area), and less than one hour from Gimhae International Airport. Along the 12 km of coastline is Busan's most popular beach, and with Seogwipo's, it is one of the most famous beaches in South Korea. Because of its easy access from downtown Busan, the beach is busy year round with several kinds of beach festivals. Most visitors are domestic. Dongbaekseom (Dongbaek Island), at the south end of the beach, is a popular fishing area. Oryukdo (Oryuk Islets), a symbol of Busan to many Koreans, can be seen in the distance from Dongbaek Island. During the hot summer months (late July to early August when most Koreans take their summer vacation), Haeundae beach becomes heavily crowded into a virtual human wall with thousands of people and parasols packed into a mile of sand. Visitors to the beach come from all over South Korea as well as outside of Korea. Haeundae is home to most of Busan's expatriate population. The famous Haeundae Grand Hotel is just beside the Haeundae Beach and there is a big entertainment district behind Haeundae Grand Hotel. This video partly features this entertainment district. Bars, clubs, Karaoke and local & foreign restaurants available in the Haeundae Beach neighborhood make the Haeundae Beach a vibrant place for domestic and foreign tourists.

Gukje Market Street Food & Jagalchi Market - Busan South Korea Family Travel Vlog
Hi guys! In this video, we spend the evening eating at markets in Busan South Korea. We visited Gujke Market and Jalgachi Market, and Kkangtong Market. The food in Busan is different from that in Seoul, and it's really good! Check out what we ate in this video.
Gukje Market is a traditional Korean market that sells everything from shoes, to suitcases to kimchi to fish cakes and frozen s'mores. You can also find some Japanese products here. The neighboring Jalgachi market is a traditional seafood market located at Busan's port. Both can be accessed via Jalgachi Station.

Went to the famous Haeundae Beach across our airbnb apartment. Strolled along the Gunam-ro street and found our way to the Haeundae Traditional Market where many things are sold there such as fresh fruits, street foods, dried fishes and squids and etc.
Sealife Busan Aquarium (infront of Haeundae beach) right after that and got discounted tickets as I found the advert on the website. 39,000₩ each became around 20,000₩ for each person. Be sure to check their websites for discounts!
Visited the Dongbaekseom Island where there is an observatory deck to see the horizontal view of the sea along Haeundae however I did not managed to record any clips because my camera died. Too bad! But it was worth the visit! Did not managed to take a footage of the Shinsegae Mall at Centum City as well. Next time in sha Allah :)
