Dongchuan Red Land is located in the town of Xintian, 40km southwest of Kunming City, southwest China's Yunnan Province. The area covering over hundreds of square meters is the most concentrated, typical and unique red land on the Yunnan red land tableland. Besides the red land in Rio de Janeiro, the spectacular red land of Dongchuan is healed the most magnificent red land in the world. Comparing to red land in Brazil, the scenery here is even more beautiful.

On this bright and sunny day I'm taking you to a short trip to Dong Chuan Red Lands or Red Soil, a place about 150km away from Kunming City. It is a perfect place for a few days trip and it is a heaven for photographers - just look at those views! Be sure to leave a like. Thanks!

Dongchuan Red Soil (Hongtudi), Yunnan Province, China HD 720p

Pictures taken on Oct 17, 2018 (afternoon about 3 till sunset) and Oct 18 (sunrise - 7:30 to 8:30 am), RMB 200 per van for both sunrise and sunset sightseeing tour.

Took a bus from North Bus Station from Kunming about 4 hours ride. With one bus stop for toilet break. RMB 43 each. We took the 7:50 am bus. Showed the bus driver the address of the hotel (in chinese characters) and he dropped us off there. Then picked us up at the hotel the following day. Two time slots for bus pick up, 8:30 am and 9:50 am. Best check with hotel owner so he can make sure the bus driver will come by the hotel.

Our taxi ride from our hotel in kunming (Kunming upland youth hostel) to the bus station took about 20-30 mins, paid RMB 32.50. Leave early to give time for the taxi ride, buy ticket and security check. Passport is required to buy ticket.
