Nature tripping naman tayo sa Dalingshan Forest Park.
Dalingshan Forest Park is located in the southwest of Dongguan City, surrounded by green forests and mountains. There are many hiking trails to the main peak—Dalingshan—which offers a terrific view of the Pearl River and rolling hills below. A golden statue of Maitreya, or future Buddha, stands in the park, as well as a nearby temple where the faithful go to pray. The park is divided into six main areas, including Shidong Scenic Area, which features a serene, comfortable environment. Huaihu Reservoir is also a gem in the area, featuring a 7-kilometer, tree-lined trail around the lake, perfect for a leisurely bike ride.

Fake Stores in Dongguan, China
We found some fake stores on our way to People’s Park in Dongguan, China
Visiting the South China Ghost Mall, Qifeng Park, and Guangming Night Market in Dongguan
While spending a month in Dongguan, we visited several interesting locations there. First we went to the South China Mall, which has a reputation for being an abandoned ghost mall - we went there to check if that still is the case these days. Next, we visited Qifeng Park, a huge park in the center of the city. It was too big to visit all in one afternoon, so we only saw part of it. And lastly, we were hungry for street food, which is surprisingly hard to find in Dongguan. After some research, we came across Guangming Night Market, and had some great tofu dish there.

Crane collapse kills 18 in Dongguan, China
At least 18 people have been killed by a crane which collapsed in high winds in China's Guangdong province.

At least 18 killed in Dongguan city crane collapse
The death toll from Wednesday morning's crane collapse in Dongguan city, apparently caused by strong winds, has risen to 18. A local official revealed that a gantry crane at a construction site collapsed and destroyed an adjacent work shed, which was being used as a dormitory for 139 workers. Many minor injuries were suffered, and at least 15 people remain in hospital. The official said the company responsible for the construction work has allocated a special fund of 20 million yuan in compensation.

12 dead after makeshift shed collapses in Dongguan
12 people have been confirmed dead after a makeshift shed at a construction site collapsed in south China's city of Dongguan. Another 43 workers have been hospitalized, while dozens have been already rescued. An unidentified number of people remains trapped under the wreckage. Search and rescue campaign is underway, with over 200 firefighters participating – some deployed from neighboring cities. The accident happened on Wednesday morning when heavy winds brought down a portal frame, which then fell onto the temporary shed, which covers an area of some 200 square meters.
