I am NOT dressed for this!! - Donghwasa Temple in Daegu, South Korea
Donghwasa Temple is a staple here in Daegu, its one of the largest Buddhist temples here in Korea and is one of the most beloved because of the enormous Buddha statue and the rather popular temple stay options.
It was such an incredibly calm and peaceful day here for me, so Im really glad I got to share the day with you.
I was so surprised to see how many people were here in the freezing cold, but I totally understand why everyone would enjoy coming up for a relaxing day trip. The scenes were beautiful, the atmosphere was calming and the monks were plentiful and incredibly kind and welcoming.
If you’re looking for things to do in Daegu that is a guaranteed win, then I would highly recommend spending a day up in the mountain - and maybe bring a picnic!

Directions:
1)From Bangwoldang Station take Line 2 (Red) eastbound towards Ansim
2) Disembark from Ayangyo Station and exit from Exit 2
3) Doubling back on yourself there is a bus stop between Exit 2 and Exit 3, wait here for 급행1 bus
4) Disembark from the bus at the Donghwasa Entrance bus stop (동화사입구앞) and head right, you’ll be going up the hill
5) Continue on this path until you see the big entrance where this video starts

Daegu Temple and Food - South Korea
Went with friends to explore around Daegu! It is my friend Bohyeons home town and she and her mom showed us around the city and gave us a really good time there. My favourite part was when we went to Donghwasa temple. It is really beautiful there so I would definitely recommend it if you're in the area!

Hiking Mt.Palgongsan in Daegu, South Korea
Palgong Mountain, and previously called Gongsan during the Goryeo dynasty, is a mountain in southeastern South Korea, lying on an outlier of the Taebaek range. It stands on the northeastern border between Daegu metropolitan city and North Gyeongsang province (including the districts of Chilgok County, Gunwi County, Yeongcheon, and Gyeongsan). Its peak is 1193 m above sea level.
The mountain is the site of a number of cultural and natural heritage sites. These include Buddhist shrines from the Silla period or later, including the large and active temple of Donghwasa and the Gunwi Triad Budda Grotto (National Treasure 109). In addition, in 927 the Battle of Gong Mountain was fought between Hubaekje and Goryeo forces on the mountain's southern slope.
Natural treasures include the standing stone of Gatbawi, so called from its resemblance to a traditional Korean horsehair hat, or gat.
The mountain, connected to downtown Daegu by bus, is a popular site for weekend outings from the city. Portions of the mountain were designated a provincial park in 1980.

Daegu (Korean: [tɛɡu]; 대구, 大邱, literally 'large hill'), formerly spelled Taegu[a] and officially known as the Daegu Metropolitan City, is a city in South Korea, the fourth-largest after Seoul, Busan, and Incheon, and the third-largest metropolitan area in the nation[b] with over 2.5 million residents. Daegu and surrounding North Gyeongsang Province are often referred to as Daegu-Gyeongbuk, with a total population over 5 million.
Daegu is located in south-eastern Korea about 80 km (50 mi) from the seacoast, near the Geumho River and its mainstream, Nakdong River in Gyeongsang-do. The Daegu basin is the central plain of the Yeongnam region. In ancient times, the Daegu area was part of the proto-kingdom Jinhan. Subsequently Daegu came under the control of the Silla Kingdom, which unified the Korean Peninsula. During the Joseon Dynasty period, the city was the capital of Gyeongsang-do, one of the traditional eight provinces of the country.
Daegu was an economic motor of Korea during the 1960s–1980s period and was especially known for its electronics industry. The humid subtropical climate of Daegu is ideal for producing high-quality apples, thus the nickname, Apple City. Daegu is also known as Textile City. Textiles used to be the pillar industry of the city. With the establishment of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone, Daegu is currently focusing on fostering fashion and high-tech industries.
Daegu was the host city of the 22nd World Energy Congress, the 2011 World Championships in Athletics, and the 2003 Summer Universiade. It also hosted four matches in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Daegu hosted the World Masters Indoor Championships on March 19–25, 2017. More than 4600 athletes worldwide competed.

Visite du temple Donghwasa accompagné de GeomGye, un moîne que j'ai rencontré dans le bus en allant au temple =) Il était mon guide attitré pour au moins trois quart d'heures...un grand merci à lui, il était tellement gentil et trop content de me faire visiter.
Ensuite, c'est direction le marché de Seomun dans la partie street food que j'ai pu manger à ma faim de délicieuses préparations...
