Here is a close up view of Namdaemun Gate, officially known as Sungnyemun Gate. It has been designated the first National Treasure of Korea. In 2008, the gate was destroyed by a fire. It was rebuilt and reopening in 2013.

Four gates protect Seoul
There are four gates in the middle of Seoul which are located in East, West, South and North.
These were the gates that used by protecting inner city of Seoul from others since long time ago. Nowadays there are no war in Korea but long time ago, there were a lot of wars in several times therefore Korean built these gates to protect capital city safely.
There are still the remaining of gates in Seoul. You will see them when you tour Seoul. Sadly one of four gates are burned due to accident but Korea tries to build the gate again in exactly same shape.

Heunginjimun Gate (Dongdaemun Gate), the historic Great East Gate on the Seoul Fortress Wall, dates back to the beginning of the Joseon Dynasty in 1398. The gate is now the last main gate remaining in Seoul after Sungnyemun Gate (Namdaemun Gate) was destroyed by a fire on February 10, 2008.

안산자락길 - Walking around Ansan Mountain Jarak-gil, Seoul, Korea
Rather lesser known walking courses among the walking trails in Seoul is the Ansan Dulegil. Ansan located near Sinchon is a gentle mountain of altitude of 296m, and has a good walking trail of 3 km and 2 hours and 30 minutes by walk, loved by the resting place and exercising course of citizens.
The Ansan Mountain Jarak-gil is a gentle walking trail that leads up to the peak of the mountain. It is entirely unimpeded, so it is wheelchair accessible and an easy stroll. From the top of the mountain, there are sweeping views of Dongnimmun Gate, Bongwonsa Temple, and the entire Seodaemun area.
There are many observatory points around the deck trail where you can catch breathtaking views of the area’s most historically significant sites: Use your guide book map to spot Gwanghwamun, Cheong Wa Dae, the Hangang River and even the 63 Building glistening like a torch during sunset. If you hike up to the Bongsudae mounds after nightfall, you can view the cityscape and catch Mt. Namsan floating like an island in the sea of distant lights.
