Tibetan Medicine: Mystery of the Pulse
High in the Himalayas a mysterious and wise Tibetan Doctor without the aid of X-rays, CAT Scan, or MRI examines our pulses and tells the condition of our internal organs and gives us sage advice on what to eat, healing Tibetan herbs to ingest and much to my disappointment (Jeff) how often to have sex. Note: avoiding unnecessary and numerous X-rays, Cat Scans, and MRIs helps one avoid their potential health dangers.

PRANAYAN breathing techniques Tibetan Yoga Teacher Ven.Lobsang Dhonden
Ven.Lobsand Dhonden, the first Tibetan Yoga Teacher was born in 1959 at Lhodak, Tibet. But, unfortunately owing to Chinese invasion of Tibet in 1959, alike other thousands of Tibetan refugees childrens in India. He too was grown up india and received his basic education from the Central School for Tibetans, Chandragiri, Orissa, estiablsihed especially to educate the young Tibetan childrens in the area. He later joined SFF Frontier school at Dehradun, U.P., India where he not only learnt Tibetan language, literature and history, but had also learnt the modern subjects too.
In the year 1977, he joined the Buddhist School of Dialectic , Dharamsala, H.P., a special institution directly administered by the Private Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. In this special Institution, he learnt Buddhist Logics(Pramanavartika) Transcendental Wisdom (Prajnaparamita) and Madhyamika Phylosophy. He successfully completed his studies and eventually obtained the degree of Phar-phyin Rabjampa equivalent to Bachelor's degree and Uma-Rabjampa being equivalent to Master of Phylosophy, both with good second devision.
He came in contact with his Spiritual Master in the year 1976 and later joined the Buddhist Dialectic School in the year 1977. But beside pursuing his Buddhist philosophy education, he constantly remained attached with his spiritual Master, Most Ven.Geshe Yeshe Topden, a highly enlightened scholar and a famous meditation practioner of our age, who is popularly known as Geshe Drubthop la. Ven.Lobsang Dhonden served his Spiritual Master with full devotion and care till the Master took His last breath in the yea 1999.
In the year 2002 Ven.Lobsang Dhonden went thorough medical check-up at Delhi Apolo Hospitial, during which it was observed that he is suffering from Hepatitis B. Since the nature of disease was serious; as per Tibetan tradition, he performed various rituals and prayers and simultaneously consulted Tibetan doctor to get rid from this disease. Meanwhile, as a good luck or coincident, through media, he learnt about the great Swami Ram Dev, the pioneer of Yoga practices in India. He formerly tried to learn yoga through the programmes which were telecasted regularly in the morning. Since this is not sufficient, he then, personally went three times to seek yoga lessons from Swami Ram Dev's Pantanjali Yoga centre at Haridwar, Dehradun, India and eventually achieved confidence/command in the yoga practices.
In the year 2006, he visited Italy. On requests, he organized yoga training courses in various Buddhist Centres and even independently in many other places which all went very successfully.
While in Italy, he underwent re-medical check up. Surprisingly, the result was unbelievable. The doctor declared that they couldn't find any sign of Hepatitis B and he is fully normal and fit. This verdict of the doctor was indeed a great blessings for him. Now practically experiencing that such serious diseases like Hepatitis B which rarely have any durable treatment, can be cured completely through continuous Yoga practices. This positive changes and new hope of life encouraged him to pursue his long cherished dreams of propagating yoga practices in the Tibetan community.
After returning from Italy, as desired by several institutions, he orgaised frequent yoga training courses in Tsechogling Monastery, Gyuto Tantric College, Buddhist School of Dialectics, Norbulinga Cultural Centres and also for monks and nuns who are in retreat for many years in the mountains of Dharamsala. Not only this, he also received opportunity to offer yoga practices to His Eminent Sakya Dag-Thri Rinpoche and many other renowned Geshes and scholars.
Presently, he is running a regular free Yoga training courses at Pemathang Yoga Hall, which he established couple of years back purely to propagate Yoga awareness amongst the Tibetan peoples. And it is undoubtedly a part of life's mission which he is trying to accomplish and contribute to our society.
