54. Port Macquarie - Tandem Winery Bike Ride
Initially we wanted to go to the Hunter Valley near Newcastle for wine tasting but public transport wasn't in our favour. Instead we headed up to Port Macquarie, booked a tandem bike and wobbled off to a few local wineries (we quickly got the hang of it). With the historic house of Douglas Vale Vineyard and the huge collection of wines at Cassegrain Wines followed by a trip to the only koala hospital in Australia we had a fab day of cycling. Not to mention the random wild kangaroos on our 35km trip!
