Douglas Apsley National Park
Our first hike while in Tassie earlier this month was in the Douglas Apsley National Park just outside of Bicheno. You’ll find a great loop track (if the river is low) and heaps of the most purest waterholes. All the boulder climbs made this hike a true experience.

WOW... now this is a waterhole worth visiting!
Beautiful footage from the Apsley waterhole in the Douglas-Apsley National Park, on Tassie's east coast, thanks to Erin Foster who simply says:
Hands down the best waterhole in Tassie that I've found.

This third installment of our trip to Australia continues at Cradle Mountain National Park, plus a hike around Dove Lake with a rest at Lilla Lake. We stop for a visit at Dension Beach and Douglas-Apsley National Park on our way to Swansea in Tasmania, and then a brief tour of Meredith House B&B, where we spent a few days. This part of the trip prepares us for our next video log at Freycinet National Park.

Bicheno blowhole
Whilst we were exploring the Bicheno waterfront we found the Bicheno blow hole. Coming from Albany WA, we have a stunning blowhole which includes a hike to it. The Bicheno blowhole was an easy stroll from the carpark and did not disappoint. We had a stunning day which also involved a swim in a natural freshwater pool. Apsley freshwater swimming hole, in the Douglas Apsley National Park.
