CSX Kentucky Derby train to Louisville - Midway, KY

On May 4th, 2019 CSX ran a special passenger train from Lexington, KY to Louisville for the Derby. Here, the train is being pulled by two of CSX's former Amtrak F40PH's. Featured in the video is Christopher Hall, Kentucky Trainiac, Louisville and Nashville RR, and Tri State Railfan.

Midway is a home rule-class city in Woodford County, Kentucky, in the United States. Its population was 1,620 at the time of the year 2000 U.S. census. It is part of the Lexington-Fayette Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Madison County is part of the Richmond-Berea, KY Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Lexington-Fayette-Richmond-Frankfort, KY Combined Statistical Area.
It is considered a moist county, meaning that although the county prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages (and is thus a dry county), it contains a city where retail alcohol sales are allowed. Nevertheless, two of Richmond's 19 precincts are dry.
