The Dragon Bridge in Da Nang has a water / fire show every Saturday and Sunday. Sadly we missed it since we didn't spend a weekend day in Da Nang. But we still enjoyed walking over it and looking over it from a nearby hotel rooftop bar.

DA NANG Dragon Bridge Fire Show | VIETNAM 2019
Day 36- The Da Nang Dragon Bridge is one of the top things to do in Da Nang and in Vietnam, so today we decided to go see the dragon fire show. It was totally worth it to wait over an hour to see a fire breathing dragon bridge, and I would do it again. Definitely was one of the highlights of this Vietnam trip and I can see why it is a top attraction in Da Nang and Vietnam.

Dragon Bridge, Da Nang - Best View Spot + Showtime
The Dragon Bridge is a success symbol in Da Nang City, in Vietnam.
This bridge is well known in Vietnam not only for the design itself but because it breathes fire and spouts plumes of water!
It is real, there is a spitting Dragon in Da Nang.
DRAGON BRIDGE SHOWTIME
At 9pm on Saturdays and Sundays, the bridge closes to the traffic. Then the dragon shows begins, displaying a show of lights, fire, and water.
We visited Da Nang and saw the Dragon Bridge show from a secret spot: Memory Hostel's rooftop terrace. From there, you can enjoy the show with a drink in your hand and your new friends.
Memory hostel is a boutique hostel in Da Nang. It is the only 5 Star Hostel in the city.
It comes not only with a spitting dragon but with million tiles.

SOME FACTS ABOUT THE DRAGON BRIDGE
- The Tourism Board constructed it expecting the bridge to draw 3 million visitors to the city per year.
- The Dragon is one of the symbols of the Ly Dynasty. This Dynasty ruled Vietnam a thousand years ago.
- The Dragon has a strong symbol in Vietnamese culture: it means power, nobility and good fortune
- The Dragon Bridge is illuminated every night with thousands of LED lights, but only displays the show on the weekends.

I officially moved from Vung Tau to Da Nang! The beaches here are beautiful. Every weekend on Saturday and Sunday the dragon bridge breathes fire at 9pm exactly. The entire town comes out to watch the performance. It is truly one of the coolest things I've ever seen about a city. Come check it out for yourself :)

Every Saturday and Sunday, at 9pm, the bridge is closed to the traffic and the dragon displays a show of lights, fire, and water.
Is it worthy it?
Well, you can have a snapshot of the spectacle here, but we think it goes beyond that, as the real spectacle will be the people watching the show in front of the dragon face.

The golden bridge on the Ba Na Hills, Da Nang, Vietnam has opened, and this stunning footage shows what its like to walk over.
The pedestrian walkway, designed by TA Landscape Architecture in Ho Chi Minh City, sits at over 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) above sea level and extends over the treetops from the edge of a leafy cliff face, offering tourists uninterrupted views of the majestic landscape beneath.
The bridge was designed to evoke the image of the “giant hands of Gods, pulling a strip of gold out of the land,” said Vu Viet Anh, Design Principal at TA Landscape Architecture.

The Dragon Bridge is a bridge over the River Hàn at Da Nang, Vietnam. The bridge is 666m long, 37.5m wide and has six lanes for traffic.
The bridge was designed and built in the shape of a dragon and to breathe fire and water. The fire and water show happens every Saturday and Sunday night at 9PM.
