Dragon Farm is a tourist farm located in Chiba city, where visitors can enjoy strawberry picking from the winter months until the spring, and blueberry picking in the summer. Only forty minutes away from Narita Airport and fifty minutes away from Tokyo by car, good access is one reason why this is a popular spot with an ever increasing number of international visitors.

MOTHER FARM, CHIBA // マザー牧場 (Daytrip from Toyko)
During our weekend trip to Chiba earlier this month ( Torii and I spontaneously decided to visit Mother Farm and it turned out to be the highlight of the trip for me. The mood and vibe there was light and carefree, and it was so much fun interacting with the animals and watching shows like the Piggy Race and Duck Parade. I was also so excited to milk a cow for the first time!
As well as the activities shown in our video, Mother Farm also offers lots more including Seasonal Flower attractions and Fruits & Vegetables Picking, Food Tasting Studio, Dog Run Area (you can bring your dog too for 600 yen admission fee), Auto Camp Site, and more!

Japanese Winter Strawberry Picking
In my neck of the woods in Japan when strawberries are in season a popular thing to do is go out and pick. Wanting to experience this delicious phenomenon first hand I saddled up and headed out to strawberry road. There were six different varieties to choose from and for 15$ it was all you could eat: pretty awesome.

Strawberry(oishi ichigo) picking in Japan!!!
Strawberry picking is a popular activity in Japan, both among the locals and tourists alike. Many farms across the country offer Strawberry picking opportunities to visitors. The typical procedure is for visitors to get charged for a certain time period during which they can pick and enjoy the strawberries on the spot.
Farms usually charge between 1000 and 3000 yen, depending on the fruit being picked. Grapes,apples and plums tend be a little cheaper while peaches,strawberries and cherries are usually more expensive. The time allowed typically ranges from 30 to 60 minutes, and some farms offer the chance to pick multiple types of fruit in a session. Sometimes, farms charge based on the weight of the fruits retrieved, instead.

Mother Farm is a farm open to visitors for leisure. Visitors can see and interact with farm animals, pick fruits, make crafts and sweets, or simply just enjoy the lovely scenery.

Picking Organic Strawberries in Naruto, Japan
This was literally one of the best days of my life! Winter is strawberry season in Japan. Caitlin, who I haven't seen in four years, and I paid a visit to a lovely strawberry farm in Naruto, Chiba. For just a fee of 1,600 yen, one could stay as long as one wants and eat unlimited strawberries! The only rule is that you can't take any strawberries outside the farm.
